ਪੂਰਨ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੧॥ pooran paarbarahm parmaysur mayray man sadaa Dhi-aa-ee-ai. ||1|| O’ my mind, we should always remember the perfect all-pervading God. ||1|| ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਾਨੀ ॥ simrahu har har naam paraanee. ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਉ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਓ ਤਉ ਸੁਨੀ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥saaDhsang ja-o tumeh milaa-i-o ta-o sunee tumaaree banee.O’ God, when You united me with the company of the saint-Guru, then I listened to the divine word of Your praises,ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਸੰਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਂਇਆ,ਤਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸ੍ਰਵਣ ਕੀਤੀ, ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਪੇਖਤ ਹੀ
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸਗਲੇ ਦੂਖ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ॥੪॥੫॥ naanak ka-o gur pooraa bhayti-o saglay dookh binaasay. ||4||5|| Nanak has met the perfect Guru and all his sorrows have been eradicated by following his teachings. ||4||5|| ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੪॥੫॥ ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੩॥ vadbhaagee gur paa-i-aa bhaa-ee har har naam Dhi-aa-ay. ||3|| O’ brother, the fortunate person who meets with the Guru and follows his teachings, always meditates on God’s Name with loving devotion. ||3|| ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ
ਰਤਨੁ ਲੁਕਾਇਆ ਲੂਕੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਜੇ ਕੋ ਰਖੈ ਲੁਕਾਈ ॥੪॥ ratan lukaa-i-aa lookai naahee jay ko rakhai lukaa-ee. ||4|| The jewel like Naam cannot be kept hidden, even if one tries to hide. ||4|| ਨਾਮ-ਰਤਨ ਲੁਕਾਇਆਂ ਲੁਕਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ , ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਲੁਕਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰੇ। ॥੪॥ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਤੂ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ

ਗਲਿ ਜੇਵੜੀ ਆਪੇ ਪਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਜਿਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਖਿੰਚੈ ਤਿਉ ਜਾਹਾ ॥ gal jayvrhee aapay paa-idaa pi-aaraa ji-o parabh khinchai ti-o jaahaa. God Himself has put a chain around the necks of creatures and as He pulls them, they must go in that direction.. ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ) ਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਸੀ ਪਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
