Dhanaasree mehlaa 5.
Raag Dhanasri, Fifth Guru:
ਸੋ ਕਤ ਡਰੈ ਜਿ ਖਸਮੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੈ ॥
so kat darai je khasam samHaarai.
Why that person should he be afraid of anything who always remembers God?
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ,ਉਹ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਡਰਦਾ।
ਡਰਿ ਡਰਿ ਪਚੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਵੇਚਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
dar dar pachay manmukh vaychaaray. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The helpless self-willed ones are ruined through fear and dread. ||1||Pause|
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਿਮਾਣੇ (ਮੌਤ ਆਦਿਕ ਤੋਂ ਡਰ ਕੇ) ਡਰ ਡਰ ਕੇ ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
sir oopar maat pitaa gurdayv.
The person, who believes that the divine Guru is his protector like his mother and father,
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼-ਰੂਪ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਵਾਂਗ (ਰਾਖਾ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ),
ਸਫਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੇਵ ॥
safal moorat jaa kee nirmal sayv.
whose sight is fruitful and whose teachings are immaculate.
ਫਲਦਾਇਕ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਘਾਲ।
ਏਕੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਰਾਸਿ ॥
ayk niranjan jaa kee raas.
He whose spiritual wealth is the Name of God who is unaffected by Maya,
ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ) ਦਾ ਸਰਮਾਇਆ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਹੋਵਤ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥੧॥
mil saaDhsangat hovat pargaas. ||1||
becomes spiritually enlightened by joining the holy congregation. ||1||
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜੀਵਨ-ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਜੀਅਨ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਭ ਠਾਇ ॥
jee-an kaa daataa pooran sabh thaa-ay.
God, the benefactor of all pervades everywhere,
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ,
ਕੋਟਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਇ ॥
kot kalays miteh har naa-ay.
millions of sorrows are eradicated by meditating on His Name,
ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਨਾਸੈ ॥
janam maran saglaa dukh naasai.
All the sorrows from birth to death of that person are destroyed,
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਬਾਸੈ ॥੨॥
gurmukh jaa kai man tan baasai. ||2||
who, by the Guru’s grace, realizes God dwelling in his heart. ||2||
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਲਏ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ॥
jis no aap la-ay larh laa-ay.
He whom God engages in His devotional worship,
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੜ ਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਦਰਗਹ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਸੈ ਹੀ ਜਾਇ ॥
dargeh milai tisai hee jaa-ay.
receives a place in God’s presence.
ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਥਾਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਸੇਈ ਭਗਤ ਜਿ ਸਾਚੇ ਭਾਣੇ ॥
say-ee bhagat je saachay bhaanay.
They alone are the true devotees who are pleasing to the eternal God.
ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਹਨ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਜਮਕਾਲ ਤੇ ਭਏ ਨਿਕਾਣੇ ॥੩॥
jamkaal tay bha-ay nikaanay. ||3||
They become free from the fear of death. ||3||
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਚੁ ਦਰਬਾਰੁ ॥
saachaa saahib sach darbaar.
God is eternal and everlasting is His court.
ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦਰਬਾਰ (ਭੀ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਉਣੁ ਕਹੈ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
keemat ka-un kahai beechaar.
Who can contemplate and describe His worth?
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਸੋਚ ਅਤੇ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਗਲ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥
ghat ghat antar sagal aDhaar.
He is dwelling within each and every heart and is the Support of all.
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ) ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਸੰਤ ਰੇਣਾਰੁ ॥੪॥੩॥੨੪॥
naanak jaachai sant raynaar. ||4||3||24||
Nanak begs for the humble service of His saints. ||4||3||24||
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩॥੨੪॥

Raag Dhanasri, Fifth Guru:
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One Eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru.
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਘਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ਤੂ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਹੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥
ghar baahar tayraa bharvaasaa too jan kai hai sang.
O’ God, Your devotees have full faith in Your support in every situation; because You are always with them.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਭੀ, ਘਰੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਭੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ (ਸਦਾ) ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਉ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੧॥
kar kirpaa pareetam parabh apunay naam japa-o har rang. ||1||
O’ my beloved God, bestow mercy and bless me, so that I may meditate on Your Name with adoration. ||1||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਭੀ) ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਜਨ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਾ ਤਾਣੁ ॥
jan ka-o parabh apnay kaa taan.
God’s devotees rely on the patronage of their God.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਤੂ ਕਰਹਿ ਕਰਾਵਹਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਾ ਮਸਲਤਿ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jo too karahi karaaveh su-aamee saa maslat parvaan. rahaa-o.
Whatever You do or make Your devotees do, O’ Master-God, that advice is readily acceptable to them. ||Pause||
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੂੰ ਸੇਵਕ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ,ਹੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਪਸੰਦ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਪਤਿ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਗਤਿ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੁ ਧਨੁ ਗੁਪਾਲ ਗੁਣ ਸਾਖੀ ॥
pat parmaysar gat naaraa-in Dhan gupaal gun saakhee.
The supreme God is the honor and realizing Him is the higher spiritual status for the devotees; reciting the virtues of God is their spiritual wealth.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਹੈ,ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਖੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਕ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਧਨ-ਪਦਾਰਥ ਹੈ।
ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤੀ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਤੀ ॥੨॥੧॥੨੫॥
charan saran naanak daas har har santee ih biDh jaatee. ||2||1||25||
O’ Nanak, the devotees always remain in God’s refuge; saints have learnt this as the righteous way of life. ||2||1||25||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸੇ ਨੂੰ (ਸਹੀ) ਜੀਵਨ-ਜੁਗਤਿ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧॥੨੫॥

Raag Dhanasri, Fifth Guru:
ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇ ਪਾਏ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ਗੁਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ॥
sagal manorath parabh tay paa-ay kanth laa-ay gur raakhay.
God fulfilled all the desires of those whom the Guru saved from the vices by keeping them in his refuge,.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਕੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਰਾਦਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਈਆਂ।
ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਾਗਰ ਮਹਿ ਜਲਨਿ ਨ ਦੀਨੇ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਭਾਖੇ ॥੧॥
sansaar saagar meh jalan na deenay kinai na dutar bhaakhay. ||1||
The Guru didn’t let them suffer in the fierce worldly ocean of vices and none of them called it impassible. ||1||
ਗੁਰੂਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ (ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ) ਵਿਚ ਸੜਨ ਨਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ।(ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਭੀ ਇਹ ਨਾਹ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਣਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਬਿਸ੍ਵਾਸੁ ॥
jin kai man saachaa bisvaas.
Those who have true faith for God in their minds,!
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਅਟੱਲ ਸਰਧਾ (ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ) ਹੈ,
ਪੇਖਿ ਪੇਖਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਆਨਦੁ ਸਦਾ ਉਲਾਸੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
paykh paykh su-aamee kee sobhaa aanad sadaa ulaas. rahaa-o.
continually beholding the glory of God; they are forever happy and blissful. ||Pause||
ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੋਭਾ-ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੇਖ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਸਾਖਿਓ ॥
charan saran pooran parmaysur antarjaamee saakhi-o.
By always remaining in the refuge of the perfect God, they have clearly experienced the all Knower-God pervading everywhere.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤੱਖ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਜਾਨਿ ਬੂਝਿ ਅਪਨਾ ਕੀਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਾ ਅੰਕੁਰੁ ਰਾਖਿਓ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੬॥
jaan boojh apnaa kee-o naanak bhagtan kaa ankur raakhi-o. ||2||2||26||
O’ Nanak, after knowing and understanding their inner state, God accepted them as His own and saved the emerging faith of His devotees. ||2||2||26||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ) ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ, ਤੇ, ਆਪਣੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਫੁਟਦਾ ਕੋਮਲ ਅੰਕੁਰਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੬॥

Raag Dhanasri, Fifth Guru:
ਜਹ ਜਹ ਪੇਖਉ ਤਹ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਕਤਹੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
jah jah paykha-o tah hajoor door katahu na jaa-ee.
Wherever I look, there I experience His presence; He is never far away.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ-ਨਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭੀ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਰਬਤ੍ਰ ਮੈ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੧॥
rav rahi-aa sarbatar mai man sadaa Dhi-aa-ee. ||1||
O’ my mind, always remember that God who is pervading all ||1||
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਈਤ ਊਤ ਨਹੀ ਬੀਛੁੜੈ ਸੋ ਸੰਗੀ ਗਨੀਐ ॥
eet oot nahee beechhurhai so sangee ganee-ai.
That God alone should be considered a true companion who doesn’t leave us both here and hereafter
ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਅਸਲ ਸਾਥੀ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਸਾਥੋਂ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇ ਜੋ ਨਿਮਖ ਮਹਿ ਸੋ ਅਲਪ ਸੁਖੁ ਭਨੀਐ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
binas jaa-ay jo nimakh meh so alap sukh bhanee-ai. rahaa-o.
That peace which vanishes in an instant is called trivial. ||Pause||
ਉਸ ਸੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਛਾ ਸੁਖ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਅੱਖ ਝਮਕਣ ਦੇ ਸਮੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੈ ਅਪਿਆਉ ਦੇਇ ਕਛੁ ਊਨ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥
paratipaalai api-aa-o day-ay kachh oon na ho-ee.
God cherishes us by providing sustenance and due to His grace we lack nothing.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰਪਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦੀ ਥੁੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ।
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸੰਮਾਲਤਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ॥੨॥
saas saas sammaaltaa mayraa parabh so-ee. ||2||
That God of mine protects us with each and every breath. ||2||
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਸਾਡੇ) ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਅਛਲ ਅਛੇਦ ਅਪਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਊਚਾ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਰੂਪੁ ॥
achhal achhayd apaar parabh oochaa jaa kaa roop.
That God who cannot be deceived or destroyed, who is limitless and whose power and personality is the highest of all,
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਛਲਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਨਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਹੈ,
ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਜਨ ਅਚਰਜ ਆਨੂਪੁ ॥੩॥
jap jap karahi anand jan achraj aanoop. ||3||
and whose devotees enjoy bliss by meditating on that wonderful God of unparallel beauty. ||3||
ਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਸਾ ਮਤਿ ਦੇਹੁ ਦਇਆਲ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਅਰਾਧਾ ॥
saa mat dayh da-i-aal parabh jit tumeh araaDhaa.
O’ merciful God, bless me with such intellect that I may keep remembering You.
ਹੇ ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਮਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ।
