ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਇ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਾ ਚੀਤ ॥ nirmal ho-ay tumHaaraa cheet. by doing so, your mind would become immaculate. (ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਤੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ। ਮਨ ਤਨ ਕੀ ਸਭ ਮਿਟੈ ਬਲਾਇ ॥ man tan kee sabh mitai balaa-ay. All the woes of your mind and body would be wiped out (ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆਂ)
ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥ din rain naanak naam Dhi-aa-ay. (O’ brother, in the company of such saints) Nanak meditates fervently on Naam day and night, (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ) ਨਾਨਕ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਏ ॥੪॥੪॥੬॥ sookh sahj aanand har naa-ay.
ਲਾਲ ਨਾਮ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥ laal naam jaa kai bharay bhandaar. He, whose treasures are filled with precious virtues ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ-ਰੂਪ ਲਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਭਰੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ। ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਦੇਵੈ ਆਧਾਰ ॥੩॥ sagal ghataa dayvai aaDhaar. ||3|| He provides sustenance to all the beings. ||3|| ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭ
ਕਿਛੁ ਕਿਸੀ ਕੈ ਹਥਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਐਸੀ ਮੇਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬੂਝ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥ kichh kisee kai hath naahee mayray su-aamee aisee mayrai satgur boojh bujhaa-ee. O’ my Master-God! nothing is in any body’s control, such an understanding has been imparted unto me by my true Guru. ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੱਸ
ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ik-oNkaar sat naam kartaa purakh nirbha-o nirvair akaal moorat joonee saibhaN gur prasad. ਦੁਖ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਸੁਖ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲੀਨਾ ॥੧॥ dukh bisaar sukh antar leenaa. ||1|| By forsaking worldly sorrows, I am absorbed in celestial peace. ||1|| ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ, ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਜਨੁ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਨਾ ॥ gi-aan anjan mo ka-o gur deenaa. The Guru has blessed
