ਜਿਨਾ ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤੁਸਟੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਨੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਗਲ ਮੰਨੀ ॥ jinaa gursikhaa ka-o har santusat hai tinee satgur kee gal mannee. Therefore, those disciples with whom God is satisfied, follow the teachings of the True Guru. ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ
ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ aasaa mehlaa 5. Aasaa, Fifth Mehl: ਆਗੈ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੂਆ ਅਵਰੁ ਕਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਗਿਆਨਾ ॥ aagai hee tay sabh kichh hoo-aa avar ke jaanai gi-aanaa. Whatever blessing I have, is because of preordained destiny; what other knowledge can anyone understand ? ਜੋ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਧੁਰੋਂ ਹੀ
ਸੋਈ ਅਜਾਣੁ ਕਹੈ ਮੈ ਜਾਨਾ ਜਾਨਣਹਾਰੁ ਨ ਛਾਨਾ ਰੇ ॥ so-ee ajaan kahai mai jaanaa jaananhaar na chhaanaa ray. One who claims to have understood God is still ignorant; he who realizes God does not remain hidden for very long. ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਨਿਰਾ ਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ) ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਭੇਤ ਨੂੰ) ਸਮਝ
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਕਤਹੂੰ ਨਾਹੀ ਖਸਮੈ ਏਵੈ ਭਾਣਾ ॥ nindak kee gat katahooN naahee khasmai ayvai bhaanaa. The slanderer shall never attain emancipation; this is the Will of the Lord and Master. ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਇਉਂ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ) ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ

You have been blessed with this beautiful human body. ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਮਿਲਣ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਰੀਆ ॥ gobind milan
ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੀ ਬਣਤ ਬਣਾਈ ॥ pooraa gur pooree banat banaa-ee. God is perfect and He has fashioned a perfect creation. ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਉਕਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਰਚਨਾ ਭੀ ਉਕਾਈ-ਹੀਣ ਹੈ। ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤ ਮਿਲੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੪॥੨੪॥ naanak bhagat milee vadi-aa-ee. ||4||24|| O’ Nanak, His devotees receive
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਈਅਹਿ ਨੀਤ ॥ kaho naanak gun gaa-ee-ah neet. Nanak Says, always sing the Praises of God. ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ਜਾਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਚੀਤ ॥੪॥੧੯॥ mukh oojal ho-ay nirmal cheet. ||4||19|| By doing so the mind becomes pure and honor is obtained both here
