ਪਿਰੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ pir sang kaaman jaani-aa gur mayl milaa-ee raam. That soul-bride unites with God, who through the Guru’s teachings realizes His presence around her. ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਿਆ, ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲੀ ਸਹਜੇ
ਕਰਿ ਮਜਨੋ ਸਪਤ ਸਰੇ ਮਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ kar majno sapat saray man nirmal mayray raam. O’ my mind, immerse your five sensory organs, mind and intellect in the holy congregation and become pure. ਪੰਜੇ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ, ਤੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ। ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜਲਿ ਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਏ ਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਏ ਪੰਚ
ਧਨ ਪਿਰਹਿ ਮੇਲਾ ਹੋਇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥ Dhan pireh maylaa ho-ay su-aamee aap parabh kirpaa karay. The union between the soul-bride and the Husband-God happens only when God Himself shows His mercy. ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੇਜਾ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਿਰ ਕੈ
ਪਹਿਲਾ ਫਾਹਾ ਪਇਆ ਪਾਧੇ ਪਿਛੋ ਦੇ ਗਲਿ ਚਾਟੜਿਆ ॥੫॥ pahilaa faahaa pa-i-aa paaDhay pichho day gal chaatrhi-aa. ||5|| Firstly the teacher has the noose of Maya around his neck and then he puts the noose of Maya around the pupil’s neck. ||5|| ਪਾਂਧੇ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਪਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਫਿਰ
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭ ਸਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਪਾਸਾ ਢਾਲਣਿ ਆਪਿ ਲਗਾ ॥੨੬॥ jee-a jant sabh saaree keetay paasaa dhaalan aap lagaa. ||26|| All the beings and creatures serve as game-pieces and God Himself is engaged in throwing the dice. ||26||. ਉਸ ਨੇਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਜੰਤੂ ਨਰਦਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾਸੇ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੬॥ ਭਭੈ
ਛਛੈ ਛਾਇਆ ਵਰਤੀ ਸਭ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੀਆ ਭਰਮੁ ਹੋਆ ॥ chhachhai chhaa-i-aa vartee sabh antar tayraa kee-aa bharam ho-aa. Chhachha: O’ God, the spiritual ignorance and doubt which exists within everyone is Your doing. ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੋ ਅਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਈ
ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਭਲਾ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਅਮਰੁ ਰਜਾਇ ॥੭॥ jo tuDh bhaavai so bhalaa pi-aaray tayree amar rajaa-ay. ||7|| O’ dear God, whatever pleases You is good for all, Your will is Eternal. ||7|| ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ)! ਤੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਮਿੱਟ ਹੈ, ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਹੀ ਕੰਮ ਭਲਾਈ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੭॥
