ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੇਲੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਵਚਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥ jaa har parabh bhaavai taa gurmukh maylay jinH vachan guroo satgur man bhaa-i-aa. When it pleases God, He causes the Guru’s followers to meet, whom the Guru’s word are very pleasing in their minds. ਜਦੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ
ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਭਾਗਹੀਨ ਮਤਿ ਫੀਕੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਨਤ ਆਵੈ ਮਨਿ ਰੋਹੈ ॥ durmat bhaagheen mat feekay naam sunat aavai man rohai. Those unfortunate persons, misguided by bad advice, are of shallow intellect; upon hearing God’s Name they feel enraged in their minds. ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਦ-ਕਿਸਮਤਿ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਕਲ ਭੀ ਹੌਲੀ ਹੀ

ਇਹੁ ਕਾਰਣੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਰੇ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੪॥੩॥੫॥ ih kaaran kartaa karay jotee jot samaa-ay. ||4||3||5|| It is the Creator, who causes everything to happen, and this is how human light (soul) merges in the Eternal light of God.||4||3||5|| ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਸਬੱਬ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ) ਆਤਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਜਾਟਰੋ ਉਠਿ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਗਾ ॥ ih biDh sun kai jaatro uth bhagtee laagaa. Listening about these other devotees, Dhanna, the Jaat, got inspired and engaged himself in devotional worship of God; ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਦੀ ਗੱਲ) ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਗਰੀਬ ਧੰਨਾ ਜੱਟ ਭੀ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ, ਮਿਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਖਿ ਗੁਸਾਈਆ ਧੰਨਾ ਵਡਭਾਗਾ
