ਥਿਰੁ ਭਈ ਤੰਤੀ ਤੂਟਸਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਨਹਦ ਕਿੰਗੁਰੀ ਬਾਜੀ ॥੩॥ thir bha-ee tantee tootas naahee anhad kinguree baajee. ||3|| The concentration of mind is the string of that guitar which has become steady and it does not break; this guitar is now playing continuously. ||3|| ਸੁਰਤ ਦੀ ਤਾਰ (ਉਸ ਕਿੰਗੁਰੀ ਦੀ ਵੱਜਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਤੰਤੀ) ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੋ
ਆਂਧੀ ਪਾਛੇ ਜੋ ਜਲੁ ਬਰਖੈ ਤਿਹਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਜਨੁ ਭੀਨਾਂ ॥ aaNDhee paachhay jo jal barkhai tihi tayraa jan bheenaaN. O’ God, Your devotee then got drenched with the nectar of Naam which fell like rain after the storm of divine knowledge. ਤੇਰਾ ਭਗਤ ਉਸ ‘ਨਾਮ’ ਦੇ ਮੀਂਹ ਨਾਲ ਗੜੁੱਚ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੀ ਮਗਰੋਂ
ਤਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥੩॥ taa sohagan jaanee-ai gur sabad beechaaray. ||3|| One is considered fortunate only when one reflects on the Guru’s word. ||3|| ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਖਸਮ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਮਝੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥ ਕਿਰਤ ਕੀ ਬਾਂਧੀ ਸਭ ਫਿਰੈ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ॥ kirat kee baaNDhee sabh
ਤਨ ਮਹਿ ਹੋਤੀ ਕੋਟਿ ਉਪਾਧਿ ॥ tan meh hotee kot upaaDh. Before I realized God, there were millions of afflictions in my body. ਮੇਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਬਖੇੜੇ ਸਨ; ਉਲਟਿ ਭਈ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਧਿ ॥ ulat bha-ee sukh sahj samaaDh. By being intuitively attuned to Naam, these have turned into a source of
ਤਨਿ ਮਨਿ ਸੂਚੈ ਸਾਚੁ ਸੁ ਚੀਤਿ ॥ tan man soochai saach so cheet. By enshrining eternal God in their heart, their body and mind are rendered immaculate. ਉਸ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਦੈ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕਾਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਨੀਤਾ ਨੀਤਿ ॥੮॥੨॥ naanak har bhaj neetaa neet.
ਨਿਧਿ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੂਰੇ ॥ niDh niDhaan har amrit pooray. Those whose hearts are brimful with the ambrosial nectar of God’s Name, the treasure of virtues. ਜੇਹੜੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਸਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ l ਤਹ ਬਾਜੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਨਹਦ ਤੂਰੇ ॥੩੬॥ tah baajay naanak anhad tooray. ||36|| O Nanak, they
