ਹਸਤ ਚਰਨ ਸੰਤ ਟਹਲ ਕਮਾਈਐ ॥ hasat charan sant tahal kamaa-ee-ai. ਜਿਉ ਬੋਲਾਵਹਿ ਤਿਉ ਬੋਲਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕਵਨ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥ ji-o bolaaveh ti-o bolah su-aamee kudrat kavan hamaaree. O my God master, we can only speak what You make us speak, otherwise what power do we have to say anything? ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਸਾਡੀ (ਤੇਰੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ) ਕੀਹ ਪਾਇਆਂ ਹੈ? ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਂਦਾ
ਇਹੁ ਜੀਉ ਸਦਾ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਹੈ ਸਹਜੇ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੨॥ ih jee-o sadaa mukat hai sehjay rahi-aa samaa-ay. ||2|| Then, this soul is liberated forever (from ego or worldly attachments), and it remains absorbed in celestial bliss. ||2|| ਫਿਰ ਇਹ ਆਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ (ਮਾਇਆ-ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ) ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਅਡੋਲ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥ ਪਉੜੀ
ਨਾ ਮਨੀਆਰੁ ਨ ਚੂੜੀਆ ਨਾ ਸੇ ਵੰਗੁੜੀਆਹਾ ॥ naa manee-aar na choorhee-aa naa say vangoorhee-aahaa. Since neither the bangle seller who adorned these arms nor the bangles and bracelets that he gave you, could do you any good, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਨਾਹ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਬਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨਿਆਰ ਹੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਸਵਾਰ ਸਕਿਆ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ

ਤਿਨ ਤੂੰ ਵਿਸਰਹਿ ਜਿ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਏ ॥ tin tooN visrahi je doojai bhaa-ay. Those who are in love with Maya instead of God forget You. ਜੇਹੜੇ (ਸਦਾ) ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ (ਫਸੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਮਨਮੁਖ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਜੋਨੀ ਪਾਏ ॥੨॥ manmukh agi-aanee jonee paa-ay. ||2|| The ignorant,
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਲਾਗਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ॥ man tan seetal saaNt sahj laagaa parabh kee sayv. He engaged himself in the devotional worship of God and intuitively he became tranquil and peaceful. ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗਾ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਤਨੁ ਠੰਢਾ-ਠਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਨਮੁ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਮੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਖੁਆਰ ॥੨॥ har naam na paa-i-aa janam birthaa gavaa-i-aa naanak jam maar karay khu-aar. ||2|| They do not blessed with God’s Naam, and they waste their lives; O Nanak, the Messenger of Death punishes and dishonors them. ||2|| ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ
