ਪੁਰਬੇ ਕਮਾਏ ਸ੍ਰੀਰੰਗ ਪਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਚਿਰੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨਿਆ ॥ purbay kamaa-ay sareerang paa-ay har milay chiree vichhunni-aa. Because of the previous good deeds, they (humans) are united with God, from Whom they had been separated. ਪਹਿਲੇ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਨੇਕ ਕਮਾਈ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਕਾਰਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਚਿਰ ਦਾ ਵਿੱਛੁੜਿਆ ਲੱਛਮੀ-ਪਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਫਿਰ) ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ

ਇਹੁ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਪੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਝੂਠੀ ਅੰਤਿ ਛੋਡਿ ਚਲਿਆ ਪਛੁਤਾਈ ॥ ih Dhan sampai maa-i-aa jhoothee ant chhod chali-aa pachhutaa-ee. This wealth, property and Maya are false. In the end, you must leave these, and depart in sorrow. ਇਹ ਦੌਲਤ, ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੂੜ ਹਨ। ਅਖੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਟੁਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ
ਅੰਤਿ ਕਾਲਿ ਪਛੁਤਾਸੀ ਅੰਧੁਲੇ ਜਾ ਜਮਿ ਪਕੜਿ ਚਲਾਇਆ ॥ ant kaal pachhutaasee anDhulay jaa jam pakarh chalaa-i-aa. At the end, the blind (spiritually ignorant) person regrets deeply when the messenger of death carries him away ਹੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੀਵ! ਜਦੋਂ ਜਮ ਨੇ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ, ਤਦੋਂ ਅਖ਼ੀਰਲੇ ਵੇਲੇ
