ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ sireeraag mehlaa 3. Siree Raag, by the Third Guru: ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਫੇਰੁ ਨ ਪਵੈ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਇ ॥ satgur mili-ai fayr na pavai janam maran dukh jaa-ay. Meeting with the Guru, one does not have to wander through (millions of species), and the pains of birth and death goes away.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਰਪੀ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਈ ਚਲਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਏ ॥ man tan arpee aap gavaa-ee chalaa satgur bhaa-ay. Shedding all my self-conceit from within, I surrender myself completely to the Guru and do what pleases the true Guru. ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਦੇਹਿ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਤਿਆਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਜਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ

ਸਹਜੇ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਤਨ ਕੀ ਨਾਸੀ ॥ sehjay dubiDhaa tan kee naasee. The duality of his mind has intuitively been eliminated ਸੁਖੈਨ ਹੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਮੇਰ-ਤੇਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਮਨਿ ਭਇਆ ਅਨੰਦੁ ॥ jaa kai sahj man bha-i-aa anand. The one in whose mind a state of bliss arises intuitively.
ਦਯਿ ਵਿਗੋਏ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਵਿਗੁਤੇ ਫਿਟਾ ਵਤੈ ਗਲਾ ॥ da-yi vigo-ay fireh vigutay fitaa vatai galaa. Strayed from God, they wander in disgrace, and their entire troop is ruined. ਰੱਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਖੁੰਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਹਨ l ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਆਵਾ ਹੀ ਊਤਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਜੀਆ ਮਾਰਿ ਜੀਵਾਲੇ ਸੋਈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਰਖੈ ॥ jee-aa maar jeevaalay so-ee
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਜਗੁ ਦੁਖੀਆ ਫਿਰੈ ਮਨਮੁਖਾ ਨੋ ਗਈ ਖਾਇ ॥ bin sabdai jag dukhee-aa firai manmukhaa no ga-ee khaa-ay. Without the the Guru’s word, the world keeps wandering in pain due to its love for maya, which has consumed the self-willed people. ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਜਗਤ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ) ਦੁਖੀ ਫਿਰਦਾ
ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਏਕੈ ॥ karan karaavan sabh kichh aykai. Only God is the creator and cause of causes. ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪੇ ਬੁਧਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ਬਿਬੇਕੈ ॥ aapay buDh beechaar bibaykai. He Himself bestows upon us the wisdom, contemplation and divine knowledge. ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਸੋਚ ਸਮਝ
