ਅਸੰਖ ਭਗਤ ਗੁਣ ਗਿਆਨ ਵੀਚਾਰ ॥ asaNkh bhagat gun gi-aan veechaar. Countless devotees contemplate the virtues and wisdom of the Almighty. اسنّکھبھگتگُنھگِیانۄیِچار॥ ، تیاگی ۔ تارک ۔ گن وبچار۔ الہّٰی اوصاف کی سوچ بیشمار الہّٰی عاشِق اوَصّاف الہّٰی کی وِچار میں کرتے ہیں ۔ ਅਸੰਖ ਸਤੀ ਅਸੰਖ ਦਾਤਾਰ ॥ asaNkh satee asaNkh daataar. ਸੁਣਿਐ ਦੂਖ ਪਾਪ ਕਾ ਨਾਸੁ ॥੯॥ suni-ai dookh paap kaa naas. ||9|| By listening to God’s word with love and devotion, all the pain, sorrows and sins are erased. ||9|| سُنھِئےَدوُکھپاپکاناسُ سننے سے عذاب مٹ جاتے ہیں خلاصہ : جیسے جیسے انسانی ذہن پر الہٰی نام اثر انداز ہو جاتا ہے انسانی اعمال بدچہوڑ کر
ਗਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਵੇਖੈ ਹਾਦਰਾ ਹਦੂਰਿ ॥ gaavai ko vaykhai haadraa hadoor. Some sing as they feel His presence. گاۄےَکوۄیکھےَہادراہدوُرِ॥ کوئی حاضر ناظر بتاتا ہے۔ ਕਥਨਾ ਕਥੀ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਤੋਟਿ ॥ kathnaa kathee na aavai tot. There is no end to describing His virtues. کتھناکتھیِنآۄےَتوٹِ॥ ۔ توٹ ، کمی ،۔ کتھ، کہنا اس کی کروڑوں کہانیاں
ਤਾ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਜਾ ਲਏ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥ taa milee-ai jaa la-ay milaa-ay. One can unite with Him only when God Himself unites with Him. ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਮਿਲਾ ਲਏ। ਗੁਣਵੰਤੀ ਗੁਣ ਸਾਰੇ ਨੀਤ ॥ gunvantee gun saaray neet. Only a rare virtuous soul-bride continuously contemplates God’s virtues. ਕੋਈ
ਓਹੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਦੇਇ ॥ oh biDhaataa man tan day-ay. That Creator-God blesses us all with body and mind. ਉਹ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ (ਸਭ ਜੀਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਜਿੰਦ ਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਓਹੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਮਨਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਸੋਇ ॥ oh biDhaataa man mukh so-ay. That Creator-God resides in the mind and mouth of all human beings. (whatever one
ਓਅੰਕਾਰਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਉਧਰੇ ॥ o-ankaar sabad uDhray. Onkaar, the all pervading God, saves the beings from the vices by attaching them to the Guru’s divine word. ਜੀਵ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਹੈਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਦੇ ਹਨ, ਓਅੰਕਾਰਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਤਰੇ ॥ o-ankaar gurmukh taray. ਸੁੰਦਰੁ ਸੁਘੜੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ਬੇਤਾ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਅਮੁਲਿਆ ॥ sundar sugharh sujaan baytaa gun govind amuli-aa.
