ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ maajh mehlaa 5. Raag Maajh, by the Fifth Guru: ਕੀਨੀ ਦਇਆ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥ keenee da-i-aa gopaal gusaa-ee. The person on whom the life of the World, the Sustainer of the Earth, has showered His Mercy; ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ, ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ) ਮਿਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ, ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ
ਸਰਬ ਜੀਆ ਕਉ ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰਾ ॥ sarab jee-aa ka-o dayvanhaaraa. He is the Giver of all beings ਜੇਹੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥ gur parsaadee nadar nihaaraa. By Guru’s Grace, He has blessed me with His mercy. ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੀ)
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਏ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨੮॥੩੫॥ kar kirpaa parabh bhagtee laavhu sach naanak amrit pee-ay jee-o. ||4||28||35|| O’ God, shower Your Mercy upon me and bless me with Your devotional worship, so that Nanak may partake the Ambrosial Nectar of Naam. ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ
ਸਰਮ ਖੰਡ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਰੂਪੁ ॥ saram khand kee banee roop. Saram Khand (stage of spiritual effort) is the stage of spiritual beautification. ਉੱਦਮ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਬਨਾਵਟ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਹੈ. ਇਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਮਨ ਦਿਨੋ ਦਿਨ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਬਣਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ)। ਤਿਥੈ ਘਾੜਤਿ ਘੜੀਐ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਅਨੂਪੁ ॥ tithai ghaarhat gharhee-ai bahut anoop. In this stage,
ਆਦੇਸੁ ਤਿਸੈ ਆਦੇਸੁ ॥ aadays tisai aadays. Humbly bow to God, ਉਸ (ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ) ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਮ ਕਰੋ, ਆਦਿ ਅਨੀਲੁ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਅਨਾਹਤਿ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਏਕੋ ਵੇਸੁ ॥੨੯॥ aad aneel anaad anaahat jug jug ayko vays. ||29|| who is the primal, immaculate, without beginning, indestructible and unchanging through the ages. ਜੋ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸੁੱਧ
ਆਖਹਿ ਗੋਪੀ ਤੈ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ॥ aakhahi gopee tai govind. Countless Krishna and his Gopis sing God’s praises ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਕਈ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਆਖਹਿ ਈਸਰ ਆਖਹਿ ਸਿਧ ॥ aakhahi eesar aakhahi siDh. Countless shiva and siddhas (men of miracles) sing praises of God. ਕਈ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਤੇ ਸਿੱਧ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ
