ਪਉੜੀ ॥ pa-orhee. Pauree: ਤਿਸੈ ਸਰੇਵਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਹੋ ਜਿਸ ਦੈ ਨਾਉ ਪਲੈ ॥ tisai sarayvhu paraaneeho jis dai naa-o palai. O’ mortals, follow the teachings of that Guru who holds the treasure of God’s Name. ਹੇ ਬੰਦਿਓ! ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ,ਸੇਵਹੁ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਪੱਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ l ਐਥੈ ਰਹਹੁ ਸੁਹੇਲਿਆ ਅਗੈ ਨਾਲਿ ਚਲੈ ॥ aithai
ਜੀਵਨ ਪਦੁ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੁ ਇਕੋ ਸਿਮਰੀਐ ॥ jeevan pad nirbaan iko simree-ai. If we lovingly remember the immaculate God, we receive the supreme spiritual state. ਜੇ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ-ਰਹਿਤ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਅਸਲੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਦਰਜਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ l ਦੂਜੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਾਇ ਕਿਨਿ ਬਿਧਿ ਧੀਰੀਐ ॥ doojee naahee jaa-ay kin biDh Dheeree-ai. ਨਾਨਕ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ਉਧਾਰਿਅਨੁ ਦਯੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਅਮਿਤਾ ॥੧੯॥ naanak larh laa-ay uDhaari-an da-yu sayv amitaa. ||19|| O’ Nanak, lovingly remember that infinite God, who has saved lot of beings by uniting them with His Name. ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਐਸੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੜ ਲਾ ਕੇ (ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੀਵ) ਬਚਾਏ ਹਨ l ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਧਿਆਇਦਾ ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ antar har guroo Dhi-aa-idaa vadee vadi-aa-ee. Great is the glory of the Guru, who within his mind remembers God with loving devotion. ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ) ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ l ਤੁਸਿ ਦਿਤੀ ਪੂਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਘਟੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਕਿਸੈ ਦੀ ਘਟਾਈ ॥
ਓਇ ਅਗੈ ਕੁਸਟੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਫਿਟਕੇ ਜਿ ਓਸੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਕੁਸਟੁ ਉਠਾਹੀ ॥ o-ay agai kustee gur kay fitkay je os milai tis kusat uthaahee. Being cursed by the Guru, they are cut off from the society like lepers and whoever associates with them also becomes leprous like them. ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਹ ਤਾਂ
ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਰਸੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਚਖਿਆ ਸੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਰਹੇ ਆਘਾਈ ॥ sach sachaa ras jinee chakhi-aa say taripat rahay aaghaa-ee. Those who have tasted the essence of the eternal God’s Name, remain satiated from the worldly desires. ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਚੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ) ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰੱਜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ
