ਨਾਨਕ ਭਏ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਹਰਿ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਨਾਇਆ ॥੨੬॥ naanak bha-ay puneet har tirath naa-i-aa. ||26|| O’ Nanak, such persons become immaculate by remaining in the holy congregation where God’s praises are sung. ||26|| ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਹਰੀ (ਦੇ ਭਜਨ-ਰੂਪ) ਤੀਰਥ ਤੇ ਨ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੬॥ ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੪ ॥ salok
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੨॥ naanak je gurmukh karahi so parvaan hai jo naam rahay liv laa-ay. ||2|| O’ Nanak, because the Guru’s followers always remain attuned to Naam, so whatever they do is acceptable in God’s presence. ||2|| ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਮਃ ੩ ॥ mehlaa 3. Third Guru: ਸੰਤਾ ਨਾਲਿ ਵੈਰੁ ਕਮਾਵਦੇ ਦੁਸਟਾ ਨਾਲਿ ਮੋਹੁ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥ santaa naal vair kamaavday dustaa naal moh pi-aar. The slanderers bear enmity with the saints and have love and affection for the wicked. ਨਿੰਦਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਦੁਰਜਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਹ ਪਿਆਰ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਗੈ
ਇਉ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੁ ਨਿਵਾਰੀਐ ਸਭੁ ਰਾਜੁ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਕਾ ਲੇਇ ॥ i-o gurmukh aap nivaaree-ai sabh raaj sarisat kaa lay-ay. In this way, when the Guru’s follower completely sheds his ego, then he feels as if he has received the sovereignty of the entire universe. ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਗਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ,
ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ salok mehlaa 3. Shalok, Third Guru: ਪਰਥਾਇ ਸਾਖੀ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਸਾਝੀ ਸਗਲ ਜਹਾਨੈ ॥ parthaa-ay saakhee mahaa purakh bolday saajhee sagal jahaanai. The great men may be speaking about certain true story or a particular situation, but the teachings in those is applicable to the entire world. ਮਹਾਂ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਿਸੇ
ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ salok mehlaa 3. Shalok, Third Guru: ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਸਭਿ ਭਰਮਦੇ ਨਿਤ ਜਗਿ ਤੋਟਾ ਸੈਸਾਰਿ ॥ vin naavai sabh bharamday nit jag totaa saisaar. Without meditating on Naam people are always wandering around aimlessly in the world and are suffering spiritual losses. ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ;
