ਮਹਲਾ ੨ ॥ mehlaa 2. Salok, Second Guru: ਜੇ ਸਉ ਚੰਦਾ ਉਗਵਹਿ ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜਹਿ ਹਜਾਰ ॥ jay sa-o chandaa ugvahi sooraj charheh hajaar. If a hundred moons were to rise and a thousand suns appeared, ਜੇ (ਇਕ) ਸੌ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹਨ, ਏਤੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋਦਿਆਂ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਘੋਰ ਅੰਧਾਰ ॥੨॥ aytay chaanan hidi-aaN
ਕੰਚਨ ਕਾਇਆ ਜੋਤਿ ਅਨੂਪੁ ॥ kanchan kaa-i-aa jot anoop. The body of such a person becomes immaculate like pure gold because of the unparalleled beauty of the divine light of God, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਲਾਸਾਨੀ ਨੂਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਦੇਹਿ, ਸੁੱਧ ਸੋਨੇ ਵਰਗੀ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਦੇਵਾ ਸਗਲ ਸਰੂਪੁ ॥ taribhavan dayvaa sagal saroop.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਉ ॥ gur parsaadee karam kamaa-o. By the Guru’s grace, may I perform such deeds by which I may attain Naam, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀਕੰਮ ਕਰਾਂ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਵੇ), ਨਾਮੇ ਰਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥੫॥ naamay raataa har gun gaa-o. ||5|| and imbued with Naam, may I
