ਜਿਤਨੀ ਭੂਖ ਅਨ ਰਸ ਸਾਦ ਹੈ ਤਿਤਨੀ ਭੂਖ ਫਿਰਿ ਲਾਗੈ ॥ jitnee bhookh an ras saad hai titnee bhookh fir laagai. The more one tastes the worldly pleasures, the more intense craving one feels for these pleasures. ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਰਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਸੁਆਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਿਤਨੀ ਭੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਉਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਰਸ
ਇਸਤਰੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਾਮਿ ਵਿਆਪੇ ਜੀਉ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ istaree purakh kaam vi-aapay jee-o raam naam kee biDh nahee jaanee. Both men and women are obsessed with lust and do not understand the way to meditate on God’s Name. ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਦ ਕਾਮ-ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ

ਮਾਨੁ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ਦੋਊ ਸਮਾਨੇ ਮਸਤਕੁ ਡਾਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਪਾਗਿਓ ॥ maan abhimaan do-oo samaanay mastak daar gur paagi-o. Since, I totally accepted the Guru and his teachings, praise or slander mean the same to me. ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਜਤ ਤੇ ਬੇ-ਇਜ਼ਤੀ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਇਕ ਸਮਾਨ ਹਨ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੱਥਾ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਟੇਕ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸੰਪਤ
