ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇ ਅਖੜੀਆ ਬਿਅੰਨਿ ਜਿਨੀ ਡਿਸੰਦੋ ਮਾ ਪਿਰੀ ॥੩॥ naanak say akh-rhee-aa bi-ann jinee disando maa piree. ||3|| O’ Nanak, different are those (spiritually enlightened) eyes, through which my Husband-God can be seen. ||3|| ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਅੱਖਾਂ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ) ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪਤੀ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥ ਪਉੜੀ ॥ pa-orhee.
ਖਟੁ ਦਰਸਨ ਭ੍ਰਮਤੇ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਨਹ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਭੇਖੰ ॥ khat darsan bharamtay fireh nah milee-ai bhaykhaN. The followers of the six orders of Yoga wander around wearing different religious robes, but God cannot be realized by adorning holy garbs. ਛੇ ਭੇਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਧੂ (ਵਿਅਰਥ) ਭਟਕਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਭੇਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ। ਵਰਤ ਕਰਹਿ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਾਇਣਾ
ਜਿਤੁ ਲਾਈਅਨਿ ਤਿਤੈ ਲਗਦੀਆ ਨਹ ਖਿੰਜੋਤਾੜਾ ॥ jit laa-ee-an titai lagdee-aa nah khinjotaarhaa. Now, they do whatever I ask them to do, and there is no conflict. ਹੁਣ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਪਾਸੇ ਲਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਧਰ ਹੀ ਲੱਗਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਕੋਈ ਖਿੱਚੋਤਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ (ਕਰਦੀਆਂ)। ਜੋ ਇਛੀ ਸੋ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਦਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਵਾੜਾ ॥ jo ichhee so fal
ਪਉੜੀ ॥ pa-orhee. Pauree: ਤੁਧੁ ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਰੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਤਿ ਤੂ ਵਰਨਾ ਬਾਹਰਾ ॥ tuDh roop na raykh-i-aa jaat too varnaa baahraa. O’ God, You have no form, feature, social class or race. ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ (ਖ਼ਾਸ) ਰੂਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਚਿਹਨ-ਚੱਕ੍ਰ ਨਹੀਂ। ਤੇਰੀ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਤਿ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ (ਖ਼ਾਸ) ਵਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਏ ਮਾਣਸ ਜਾਣਹਿ
ਬੂਝਹੁ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਬੂਝਣਾ ਏਹ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ boojhhu gi-aanee boojh-naa ayh akath kathaa man maahi. O’ wise ones, understand this indescribable discourse of God in your mind. ਹੇ ਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ! ਅਕੱਥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਰਾਜ਼ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਝ। ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਤਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਅਲਖੁ ਵਸੈ ਸਭ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ bin gur
ਬਿਨੁ ਕਰਮਾ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਜੇ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਲੋਚਾਹੀ ॥ bin karmaa kichhoo na paa-ee-ai jay bahut lochaahee. The wealth of Naam is not received without good destiny, no matter how much people crave for it. ਜੀਵ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕਿਤਨੀ ਹੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਕਰਨ ਚੰਗੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ (ਨਾਮ) ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ। ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ਜੰਮੈ ਮਰੈ ਗੁਰ
