ਅੰਤਰਿ ਅਲਖੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਲਖਿਆ ਵਿਚਿ ਪੜਦਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਪਾਈ ॥ antar alakh na jaa-ee lakhi-aa vich parh-daa ha-umai paa-ee. The incomprehensible God is within all, but cannot be realized because of the intervening curtain of ego. ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਸਕਦੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ
ਰੂਪਵੰਤੁ ਸੋ ਚਤੁਰੁ ਸਿਆਣਾ ॥ roopvant so chatur si-aanaa. He alone is handsome, clever and wise, (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਤੀਖਣ ਬੁੱਧਿ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨਿ ਜਨਿ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ॥੨॥ jin jan maani-aa parabh kaa bhaanaa. ||2|| who cheerfully surrenders to God’s will. ||2|| ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ

ਗੋਂਡ ॥ gond. Raag Gond: ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਰੇ ਨਾਹਿ ॥ garihi sobhaa jaa kai ray naahi. O’ brother, the household which has no glory of worldly wealth; ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ (ਘਰ ਦੀ ਸੁਹੱਪਣ) ਮਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਆਵਤ ਪਹੀਆ ਖੂਧੇ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ aavat pahee-aa khooDhay jaahi. the guests who come there, depart
ਮਨ ਕਠੋਰੁ ਅਜਹੂ ਨ ਪਤੀਨਾ ॥ man kathor ajhoo na pateenaa. but still the stone-hearted Qazi did not get satisfied. ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਫਿਰ ਭੀ) ਤਸੱਲੀ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ) ਮਨ ਦਾ ਕਠੋਰ ਸੀ। ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਹਮਰਾ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ॥ kahi kabeer hamraa gobind. Kabir says: the Master-God of the universe is my protector, ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ
ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਸਭ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਵਾਸ ॥ naaraa-in sabh maahi nivaas. O’ friend, God abides in all beings, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਹੈ, ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥ naaraa-in ghat ghat pargaas. God enlightens each and every heart. ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ (ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ) ਦਾ ਹੀ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੈ। ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਕਹਤੇ ਨਰਕਿ ਨ ਜਾਹਿ
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਇ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਾ ਚੀਤ ॥ nirmal ho-ay tumHaaraa cheet. by doing so, your mind would become immaculate. (ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਤੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ। ਮਨ ਤਨ ਕੀ ਸਭ ਮਿਟੈ ਬਲਾਇ ॥ man tan kee sabh mitai balaa-ay. All the woes of your mind and body would be wiped out (ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆਂ)
