ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਜਗਦੀਸੁਰ ਪੇਖਤ ਸਦਾ ਹਜੂਰੇ ॥ man tan rav rahi-aa jagdeesur paykhat sadaa hajooray. O’ brother, those who have enshrined God’s Name in their hearts and minds, always visualize Him very close to them. (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਵੱਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ
ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਰੂਪ ਚੇਰੀ ਕੀ ਨਿਆਈ ਸੋਭ ਨਹੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਭਰਤਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ istaree roop chayree kee ni-aa-ee sobh nahee bin bhartaaray. ||1|| I am weak like a woman and powerless like a maid who does not have any respect without her master. |1| ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਵਾਂਗ (ਨਿਰਬਲ) ਹਾਂ, ਦਾਸੀ ਵਾਂਗ (ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ) ਹਾਂ। (ਇਸਤਰੀ) ਪਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ
ਜਬ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਆਇ ਬਸੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਆਸਨਿ ਤਬ ਹਮ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ॥ jab pari-a aa-ay basay garihi aasan tab ham mangal gaa-i-aa. O’ my friends, ever since God’s Name has manifested in my heart, I keep singing His glorious praises. ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸੇ ਹਨ, ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਤਖ਼ਤ ਉੱਤੇ
ਹਰਿ ਹਮ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਮ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਅਉਰੁ ਦੁਤੀਆ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹਮ ਤਿਆਗੀ ॥੧॥ har ham gaavahi har ham boleh a-or dutee-aa pareet ham ti-aagee. ||1|| I always sing God’s praises and chant His Name; I have forsaken the love and for anyone but God. ||1|| ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਬਿਖੁ ਡੁਬਦਾ ਕਾਢਿ ਲਇਆ ॥੪॥੬॥ jan naanak ka-o parabh kirpaa Dhaaree bikh dubdaa kaadh la-i-aa. ||4||6|| God has bestowed mercy on devotee Nanak, and has rescued him from drowning in the world-ocean of vices. ||4||6|| ਸੇਵਕ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁਬਦੇ
ਹਰਿ ਬੋਲਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਖ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਤਰਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥har bolhu gur kay sikh mayray bhaa-ee har bha-ojal jagat taraavai. ||1|| rahaa-o.O’ the disciples of the Guru, my brothers, recite God’s Name, it will surely ferry you across the world-ocean of vices. ||1||Pause||ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਖੋ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈਓ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਹਾ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੧॥ naanak gurmukh naam samaahaa. ||4||2||11|| O’ Nanak, one can merge in God’s Name only by following the Guru’s teachings. ||4||2||11|| ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨਤਾ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੧॥ ਮਲਾਰ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ malaar mehlaa 3. ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਸਾਚੀ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮਾਨੁ ॥੨॥ gur sabad ratay sadaa bairaagee har dargeh saachee paavahi maan. ||2|| Those who remain imbued with the Guru’s word, forever remain detached from worldly affairs, and are honored in the eternal God’s presence. ||2|| ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ
ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਹੋਆ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਸਮਾਣਾ ਚੂਕਿ ਗਇਆ ਪਾਸਾਰਾ ॥੪॥੧॥ jis tay ho-aa tiseh samaanaa chook ga-i-aa paasaaraa. ||4||1|| God from whom this world comes into existence, it merges back into Him; and so the entire expanse of the world comes to an end. ||4||1|| ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ-ਖਿਲਾਰਾ
