ਨਾਨਕ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਰਾਵੈ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਥਿਰੁ ਸੋਹਾਗੋ ॥੧੭॥੧॥ naanak ahinis raavai pareetam har var thir sohaago. ||17||1|| O’ Nanak, such a happily wedded soul-bride always enjoys the company of her beloved Husband-God, and she achieves everlasting union with Him. ||17|| ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਸੁਭਾਗ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਉਸ
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਬਿਖੁ ਡੁਬਦਾ ਕਾਢਿ ਲਇਆ ॥੪॥੬॥ jan naanak ka-o parabh kirpaa Dhaaree bikh dubdaa kaadh la-i-aa. ||4||6|| God has bestowed mercy on devotee Nanak, and has rescued him from drowning in the world-ocean of vices. ||4||6|| ਸੇਵਕ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁਬਦੇ
ਹਰਿ ਬੋਲਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਖ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਤਰਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ har bolhu gur kay sikh mayray bhaa-ee har bha-ojal jagat taraavai. ||1|| rahaa-o. O’ the disciples of the Guru, my brothers, recite God’s Name, it will surely ferry you across the world-ocean of vices. ||1||Pause|| ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਖੋ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕਰਣੀ ਊਤਮ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਜਗਿ ਬਿਸਥਾਰਿ ॥੩॥ har jan karnee ootam hai har keerat jag bisthaar. ||3|| similarly, the deeds of God’s devotees are sublime and they have spread God’s praises throughout the world. ||3|| ਤਿਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਰਣੀ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਖਿਲਾਰੀ
ਜੀਅ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਸੇ ਸਚੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਹੀ ॥ jee-a daan day-ay tariptaasay sachai naam samaahee. Those to whom the Guru bestows the gift of spiritual life, become satiated from worldly desires and they always remain absorbed in the eternal God’s Name. ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ
ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਹੋਆ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਸਮਾਣਾ ਚੂਕਿ ਗਇਆ ਪਾਸਾਰਾ ॥੪॥੧॥ jis tay ho-aa tiseh samaanaa chook ga-i-aa paasaaraa. ||4||1|| God from whom this world comes into existence, it merges back into Him; and so the entire expanse of the world comes to an end. ||4||1|| ਜਿਸ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਤੋਂ (ਜਗਤ) ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ , ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ
ਪੰਚ ਰਾਗਨੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਉਚਰਹੀ ॥ panch raagnee sang uchrahee. It is accompanied by the voices of its five Raaginis (sub raags): ਅਤੇ ਭੈਰੋਂ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜ ਰਾਗਨੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਉਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ l ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਭੈਰਵੀ ਬਿਲਾਵਲੀ ॥ paratham bhairvee bilaavalee. The first recital is done in Bhairavee, and second one is Bilaavalee; ਪਹਿਲੀ ਭੈਰਵੀ, ਦੂਜੀ ਬਿਲਾਵਲੀ, ਪੁੰਨਿਆਕੀ ਗਾਵਹਿ
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚੀ ਮਾਨੁ ॥੨੯॥ har jan har antar nahee naanak saachee maan. ||29|| O’ Nanak, take this as absolute truth, that there is no difference between God and God’s devotee. ||29|| ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੱਚੀ ਮੰਨੋ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੨੯॥ ਮਨੁ
