ਆਪਣੀ ਲਿਵ ਆਪੇ ਲਾਏ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲੀਐ ॥ aapnee liv aapay laa-ay gurmukh sadaa samaalee-ai. God Himself instills His love, therefore following the Guru’s teachings, we should always keep remembering Him with love and devotion. ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਸੋ ਸਿਖੁ ਸਨਮੁਖੁ ਹੋਏ ॥੨੧॥ kahai nanak sunhu santahu so sikh sanmukh ho-ay. ||21|| Nanak says, listen, O Saints: such a disciple turns toward the Guru with sincere faith, and becomes faithful to the Guru. ||21|| ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਸੁਣੋ ਉਹ ਸਿੱਖ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸੁਰਖ਼ਰੂ
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਜਿਨੀ ਆਪੁ ਤਜਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਵਾਸਨਾ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥ gur parsaadee jinee aap taji-aa har vaasnaa samaanee. Someone’s life is passing away in the emotional attachment of his mother, father and children. ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਮਾਂ ਪਿਉ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਦਿਕ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਜ਼ਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ; ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਰਾਜ ਮਿਲਖ ਵਾਪਾਰਾ ॥ kaahoo bihaavai raaj milakh vaapaaraa. ਘਰ ਹੀ ਸੋ ਪਿਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ghar hee so pir paa-i-aa sachai sabad veechaar. ||1|| By reflecting on the Guru’s word of God’s praises, they have realized their Husband-God within their heart ||1|| ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ॥੧॥
