ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਰਹੈ ਭੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਭੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥ an-din sadaa rahai bhai andar bhai maar bharam chukaavani-aa. ||5|| Every day and always living in the revered fear of God, and by eradicating egohe controls his mind from running after vices. ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਡਰ-ਅਦਬ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਘੜਿ ਭੰਨਿ ਸਵਾਰਹਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸੁਹਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੫॥੬॥ tooN aapay hee gharh bhann savaareh naanak naam suhaavani-aa. ||8||5||6|| You Yourself create, destroy and refashion Your creation. ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਲਦੀ ਫਿਰੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਿਰ ਬਹੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥ an-din jaldee firai din raatee bin pir baho dukh paavni-aa. ||2|| Day and night the soul continues wandering, burning in the fire of worldly desires. Without the Husband-God, the soul suffers in great sorrows. (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜਿੰਦ) ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ
ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਜੀਅ ਉਪਾਏ ॥ lakh cha-oraaseeh jee-a upaa-ay. God has created living beings in millions of species. ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਚੌਰਾਸੀ ਲੱਖ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਜੀਵ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, لکھچئُراسیِہجیِءاُپاۓ॥ خدا نے یہ مانا جاتا ہے کہ چوراسی لاکھ قسم کی مخلوقات پیدا کی ہے ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥ jis
ਸੇਵਾ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥ sayvaa surat sabad chit laa-ay. Then he focuses his mind in selfless service and the Guru’s word. ਤਦ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤ ਟਿਕਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ। سیۄاسُرتِسبدِچِتُلاۓ॥ ۔ شبد ۔کلام ۔ ۔ وہ خدمت ہوش کلام میں دل لگاتا ہے ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਸਦਾ
ਮਾਂਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ maaNjh mehlaa 5. Raag Maajh,by the Fifth Guru: ماںجھمہلا੫॥ ਝੂਠਾ ਮੰਗਣੁ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਾਗੈ ॥ jhoothaa mangan jay ko-ee maagai. If someone asks for short-lived, worldly things, ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਸਦਾ) ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਹੀ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਰਹੇ (ਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਮੰਗੇ), جھوُٹھامنّگنھُجےکوئیِماگےَ॥ جھوٹھا منگن۔ یعنی
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਰੋਗੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥ janam janam kaa rog gavaa-i-aa. is cured of the diseases arising from the vices of many births. ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਜਨਮਾਂ (ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ) ਦਾ ਰੋਗ (ਉਸ ਦਵਾਈ ਨਾਲ) ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। جنمجنمکاروگُگۄائِیا॥ روگ ۔ بیماری دیرینہ بیماریوں سے صحتیاب ہوا ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਫਲ ਏਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਾਰੀ

ਸਰਬ ਜੀਆ ਕਉ ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰਾ ॥ sarab jee-aa ka-o dayvanhaaraa. He is the Giver of all beings ਜੇਹੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, سربجیِیاکءُدیۄنھہارا॥ جو خدا سبھ کو دینے کی طاقت رکھتا ہے ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥ gur parsaadee nadar nihaaraa. By Guru’s Grace, He has blessed me with His
