ਪਉੜੀ ॥ pa-orhee. Pauree: پئُڑی ॥ پیوری : ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਜੋ ਜੀਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਵਰਤੈ ॥ too kartaa sabh kichh jaandaa jo jee-aa andar vartai. O’ Creator, You know everything which occurs in the minds of the beings. ਹੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ! ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੋ ਫੁਰਨੇ ਫੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ),
ਜਿਨਾ ਸਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਸਿ ਨ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਸੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਰਧਾਨ ॥ jinaa saas giraas na visrai say pooray purakh parDhaan. Those who do not forget God, even for a single breath, are the perfect and distinguished persons. ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਕ ਦਮ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿੱਸਰਦਾ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਸਰਬ ਗੁਣ) ਸੰਪੂਰਣ ਤੇ ਉੱਤਮ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ l
ਤਿਸੁ ਅਗੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਢੋਈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰਸਿਖੀ ਮਨਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥ tis agai pichhai dho-ee naahee gursikhee man veechaari-aa. The Guru’s disciples have realized this in their minds that such a person gets no refuge here and hereafter. ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ-ਸਭ ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਨ
ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਰਸੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਚਖਿਆ ਸੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਰਹੇ ਆਘਾਈ ॥ sach sachaa ras jinee chakhi-aa say taripat rahay aaghaa-ee. Those who have tasted the essence of the eternal God’s Name, remain satiated from the worldly desires. ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਚੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ) ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰੱਜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹਿ ਤੂ ਸਚੁ ਸਚੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੋਤਿ ॥੧੬॥ jan naanak naam salaahi too sach sachay sayvaa tayree hot. ||16|| O’ Nanak, praise God’s name. This will be your true service of God.||16| ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਤੂੰ (ਭੀ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰ, ਸੱਚ-ਮੁਚ ਤੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਸੇਵਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਕਬੂਲ
ਓਇ ਅਗੈ ਕੁਸਟੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਫਿਟਕੇ ਜਿ ਓਸੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਕੁਸਟੁ ਉਠਾਹੀ ॥ o-ay agai kustee gur kay fitkay je os milai tis kusat uthaahee. Being cursed by the Guru, they are cut off from the society like lepers andwhoever associates with them also becomes like them. ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੀ
ਮਃ ੪ ॥ mehlaa 4. Salok, Fourth Guru: م:4 ॥ صلوک ، چوتھا گرو : ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਆਪਿ ਦੇਇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਜਗਤੁ ਭੀ ਆਪੇ ਆਣਿ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਪੈਰੀ ਪਾਏ ॥ jin ka-o aap day-ay vadi-aa-ee jagat bhee aapay aan tin ka-o pairee paa-ay. Whom God blesses with glory, He makes the world also bow to them
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਧਿਆਇਦਾ ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ antar har guroo Dhi-aa-idaa vadee vadi-aa-ee. Great is the glory of the Guru, who within his mind meditates on God. ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ) ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ; انّترِہرِگُرۄُدھِیائِداوڈیوڈِیائی ॥ گرو کی شان عظیم ہے ، جو اپنے ذہن میں خدا کا ذکر
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ॥ jis no da-i-aal hovai mayraa su-aamee tis gursikh guroo updays sunaavai. The Guru bestows such teachings only on that Gursikh (disciple) on whom God becomes gracious. ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਿਆਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ l جِسنۄدئِیالُہۄوےَمیراسُیامیتِسُگُرسِکھگُرۄُاُپدیسُسُݨاوےَ ॥
ਸਚਿਆਰ ਸਿਖ ਬਹਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਸਿ ਘਾਲਨਿ ਕੂੜਿਆਰ ਨ ਲਭਨੀ ਕਿਤੈ ਥਾਇ ਭਾਲੇ ॥ sachiar sikh bahi satgur paas ghaalan koorhiar na labhe kitai thaa-ay bhaalay. The true disciples stay in the true Guru’s presence and follow his teachings, but even when searched for, the false ones are not found anywhere. ਸੱਚ ਦੇ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਤਾਂ
