ਆਪੁ ਗਇਆ ਦੁਖੁ ਕਟਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਰਿ ॥੪੭॥ aap ga-i-aa dukh kati-aa har var paa-i-aa naar. ||47|| The soul-bride whose ego got eliminated, she realized her Husband -God and her sorrow vanished. ||47|| ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆਦੁੱਖ ਕੱਟਿਆ ਗਿਆ,ਉਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਖਸਮ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ॥੪੭॥ آپُگئِیادُکھُکٹِیاہرِۄرُپائِیانارِ॥੪੭॥ آپ گیا ۔ خودی مٹی ۔
ਮੇਰੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਰਿ ਮੁਏ ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਭਾਲਿ ॥ mayree mayree kar mu-ay vin naavai dukhbhaal. Forsaking God’s Name, many people engrossed in self-conceit, crying “me, me” have died enduring misery. ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ‘ਨਾਮ’ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ (ਨਿਰੀ) ਮਾਇਆ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਗੋਂ) ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿਹਾਝ ਕੇ ਹੀ (ਬੇਅੰਤ ਜੀਵ) ਚਲੇ ਗਏ; میریِمیریِکرِمُۓۄِنھُناۄےَدُکھُبھالِ॥
ਨਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਨ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਹੈ ਨਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥ naa tis gi-aan na Dhi-aan hai naa tis Dharam Dhi-aan. Such a person acquires no spiritual wisdom, no meditation, no righteousness and no concentration of mind. ਐਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੱਲੇ ਨਾਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ ਗਿਆਤ ਹੈ ਨਾਂ ਸਿਮਰਨ, ਨਾਂ ਈਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਇਕਾਗਰਤਾ। ناتِسُگِیانُندھِیانُہےَناتِسُدھرمُدھِیانُ॥ گیان
ਜਿਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਸੇਵਸਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥ jin naam dee-aa tis sayvsaa tis balihaarai jaa-o. I am dedicated to that Guru who has blessed me with Naam, I would always follow his teachings. ਮੈਂ ਉਸ (ਗੁਰੂ) ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ‘ਨਾਮ’ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ। جِنِنامُدیِیاتِسُسیۄساتِسُبلِہارےَجاءُ॥ اُس کی
ਜਾਪੈ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤਿਹੁ ਲੋਇ ॥ jaapai aap parabhoo tihu lo-ay. O’ Pandit, enshrine God’s Name in your mind who is manifested in all the three worlds of the universe, (ਹੇ ਪਾਂਡੇ! ਉਸ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਪੱਟੀ ਉਤੇ ਲਿਖ, ਜੋ) ਆਪ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੈ, جاپےَآپِپ٘ربھوُتِہُلوءِ॥ جاپے ۔ ظاہر ہے ۔ تیہہ
ਤਾਮਿਲੀਐਜਾਲਏਮਿਲਾਇ॥ taa milee-ai jaa la-ay milaa-ay. One can unite with Him only when God Himself unites with Him. ਉਸਪ੍ਰਭੂਨੂੰਤਦੋਂਹੀਮਿਲਸਕੀਦਾਹੈਜੇਉਹਆਪਮਿਲਾਲਏ। تامِلیِئےَجالۓمِلاءِ॥ اسکا ملاپ تبھی حاصل ہو سکتا ہے اگر خدا خود ملائے ۔ ਗੁਣਵੰਤੀਗੁਣਸਾਰੇਨੀਤ॥ gunvantee gun saaray neet. Only a rare virtuous soul-bride continuously contemplates God’s virtues. ਕੋਈਭਾਗਾਂਵਾਲੀਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਗੋਪਾਲਦੇਗੁਣਸਦਾਚੇਤੇਰੱਖਦੀਹੈ। گُنھۄنّتیِگُنھسارےنیِت॥ گن سارے ۔ اوصاف قائم رکھنا۔ نیت
ਓਹੁਬਿਧਾਤਾਮਨੁਤਨੁਦੇਇ॥ oh biDhaataa man tan day-ay. That Creator-God blesses us all with body and mind. ਉਹਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ (ਸਭਜੀਆਂ) ਨੂੰਜਿੰਦਤੇਸਰੀਰਦੇਂਦਾਹੈ, اوہُبِدھاتامنُتنُدےءِ॥ بدھاتا۔ منصوبہ ساز ۔ کار ساز۔ وہی منصوبہ ساز اسے زندگی ذہن و زبان بخشنے والا ہے ਓਹੁਬਿਧਾਤਾਮਨਿਮੁਖਿਸੋਇ॥ oh biDhaataa man mukh so-ay. That Creator-God resides in the mind and mouth of all human beings. (whatever
ਓਅੰਕਾਰਿਸਬਦਿਉਧਰੇ॥ o-ankaarsabaduDhray. Onkaar, the all pervading God, saves the beings from the vices by attaching them to the Guru’s divine word. ਜੀਵਗੁਰੂਦੇਸ਼ਬਦਵਿਚਜੁੜਕੇਉਸਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕਪਰਮਾਤਮਾਦੀਸਹੈਤਾਨਾਲਹੀਸੰਸਾਰਦੇਵਿਕਾਰਾਂਤੋਂਬਚਦੇਹਨ, اوئنّکارِسبدِاُدھرے॥ اُدھرے ۔ کامیاب ہوئے ۔ اس اونکار کے کلام سے ہی انسان بدیوں اور برائیوں سے بچتا ہے ਓਅੰਕਾਰਿਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਤਰੇ॥ o-ankaargurmukhtaray. People swim across the worldly ocean of vices by remembering God through
ਸਾਧ ਪਠਾਏ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਦੂਰਿ ॥ saaDh pathaa-ay aap har ham tum tay naahee door. God Himself sent the Guru in the world to tell us that He is not far from us. ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਭੇਜਿਆ। (ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ
ਸੁੰਦਰੁ ਸੁਘੜੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ਬੇਤਾ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਅਮੁਲਿਆ ॥ sundar sugharh sujaan baytaa gun govind amuli-aa. The Master-God of the universe is beautiful, wise and omniscient; His virtues arepriceless. ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ,, ਸੁਜਾਨ ਹੈ,ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਕਿਸੇ ਮੁੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦੇ। سُنّدرُسُگھڑُسُجانھُبیتاگُنھگوۄِنّدامُلِیا॥ بیتا ۔ جاننے ۔
