ਸਹੀ ਸਲਾਮਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਘਰਿ ਆਏ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਹੋਏ ਕਾਲ ॥ sahee salaamat mil ghar aa-ay nindak kay mukh ho-ay kaal. By following the Guru’s teachings, the devotees of God along with their intact spiritual wealth remain imbued with Naam within their heart; their slanderers are put to shame. ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਗੁਰੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ
ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਜਗੁ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਤਰੀਐ ॥੨॥ gur sayvaa mahal paa-ee-ai jag dutar taree-ai. ||2|| By following the Guru’s teachings, God’s presence in our heart is realized and we swim across the impassable world-ocean of vices. ||2|| Kwa kufuata mafundisho ya Guru, uwepo wa Mungu moyoni mwetu unagunduliwa na tunaogelea tukivuka bahari-dunia ya dhambi
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਪੇਖਿ ਹਜੂਰੇ ॥੨॥੨੨॥੧੦੮॥ naanak saran pari-o dukh bhanjan antar baahar paykh hajooray. ||2||22||108|| O’ Nanak, he remains in the refuge of God, the destroyer of sorrows, and beholds Him both within himself and outside in nature. ||2||22||108|| ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ
ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਤਪਤਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥ seetal har har naam simrat tapat jaa-ay. ||3|| That God’s Name is very soothing; the fire of worldly desires is quenched by meditating on Him. ||3|| Jina la Mungu huyo ni kitulizo; moto wa hamu za kidunia unazimwa kwa kutafakari kumhusu Yeye. ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਘਣਾ ਨਾਨਕ
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਤੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜਸੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਕਹੇ ॥੨॥੧੭॥੧੦੩॥ kar kirpaa pooran parabh daatay nirmal jas naanak daas kahay. ||2||17||103|| O’ perfect God, the benefactor, bestow mercy so that Your devotee Nanak may keep chanting Your immaculate praises. ||2||17||103||. ਹੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਤਾ ਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ
ਕਹਾ ਕਰੈ ਕੋਈ ਬੇਚਾਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਾ ਬਡ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥੧॥ kahaa karai ko-ee baychaaraa parabh mayray kaa bad partaap. ||1|| The power of my God is so great, what can these vices do to me? ||1|| ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਬੜੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਹੈ, (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੀ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ?॥੧॥ کہاکرےَکوئیِبیچاراپ٘ربھمیرےکابڈپرتاپُ॥ بیچار لا مجبور
ਐਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਬਰਨਿ ਨ ਸਾਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਉਲਟਿ ਧਰੀ ॥੧॥ aiso har ras baran na saaka-o gur poorai mayree ulat Dharee. ||1|| Such is the sublime essence of God’s Name, that I cannot describe it; the Perfect Guru has turned my attention away from the worldly riches and power. ||1|| ਅਜੇਹਾ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਮੰਨੇ ਆਪਿ ਸੋਈ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥ jis no mannay aap so-ee maanee-ai. He alone is honored by others whom God Himself honors, Yeye pekee anaheshimiwa na wengine ambaye Mungu Mwenyewe anaenzi, ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਸਭ ਠਾਈ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥੩॥ pargat purakh parvaan sabh thaa-ee jaanee-ai. ||3|| such a person becomes known in all places and
ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਨ ਆਵਹਿ ਅੰਧ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਸੋਇ ਰਹਿਓ ਮਦ ਮਾਵਤ ਹੇ ॥੩॥ darisat na aavahi anDh agi-aanee so-ay rahi-o mad maavat hay. ||3|| They are not visible to you because you are blinded by ignorance; intoxicated in vices, you are spiritually asleep. ||3|| ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ
ਸੋ ਛੂਟੈ ਮਹਾ ਜਾਲ ਤੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ॥੨॥ so chhootai mahaa jaal tay jis gur sabad nirantar. ||2|| One within whom the Guru’s word constantly remains enshrined is released from the strongest trap of Maya. ||2|| Yule ambaye ndani mwake neno la Guru linabaki limethaminiwa kila wakati anakombolewa kutoka mtego wenye nguvu zaidi
