ਪਉੜੀ॥ pa-orhee. Pauree: پئُڑیِ ॥ ਅਤੁਲੁਕਿਉਤੋਲੀਐਵਿਣੁਤੋਲੇਪਾਇਆਨਜਾਇ॥ atul ki-o tolee-ai vintolay paa-i-aa na jaa-ay. How can the unweighable be weighed? Without weighing Him, He cannot be obtained. (O’ my friends), how can one evaluate (the qualities) of (God) who is beyond any evaluation? He cannot be realized without evaluating (Him or reflecting on His qualities). ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾਅਤੁੱਲਹੈ,
ਬਾਹ ਪਕਰਿ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਿਓ ॥੨॥ baah pakar bhavjal nistaari-o. ||2|| Taking me by the arm, He saves me and carries me across the terrifying world-ocean. ||2|| -simply holding me by hand, He ferried me across the dreadful ocean (and saved me from being consumed in worldly involvements, and rounds of births and deaths). ||2|| ਬਾਹੋਂ
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਪਤਿਸਿਉਲੇਖਾਨਿਬੜੈਬਖਸੇਸਿਫਤਿਭੰਡਾਰ॥ gurmukh pat si-o laykhaa nibrhai bakhsay sifatbhandaar. The Gurmukh’s account is settled with honor; the Lord blesses him with the treasure of His Praise. ਧਰਮੁਕਰਾਏਕਰਮਧੁਰਹੁਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ॥੩॥ Dharam karaa-ay karam Dharahu furmaa-i-aa. ||3|| The Primal Lord has ordained that mortals must practice righteousness. ||3|| As per command issued by Him the judge of righteousness gets different deeds done (from the creatures). ||3|| (ਇਹਭੀ) ਧੁਰੋਂ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂਦਾਹੀ) ਫ਼ੁਰਮਾਨਹੈਕਿਧਰਮਰਾਜ (ਜੀਵਾਂਤੋਂਚੰਗੇਮੰਦੇ) ਕੰਮਕਰਾਰਿਹਾਹੈ॥੩॥ دھرمُکراۓکرمدھُرہُپھُرمائِیا॥੩॥ اے خدا تیرے فرمان کی مطابق ہی تو منصف ہوکر فرائض منصبی
ਸੇ ਧਨਵੰਤ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਾਸਿ ॥ say Dhanvant jin har parabh raas. They alone are rich, who have the Wealth of the Lord God. (Truly) rich are they, whose capital-stock is the Creator‟s Name. ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਸਰਮਾਇਆ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਧਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ। سےدھنۄنّتجِنہرِپ٘ربھُراسِ॥ دھنونت ۔ دولتمند ۔ راست ۔
ਮਨਮੁਖਦੂਜੀਤਰਫਹੈਵੇਖਹੁਨਦਰਿਨਿਹਾਲਿ॥ manmukhdoojee taraf hai vaykhhu nadar nihaal. The self-willed manmukh is on the wrong side. You can see this with your own eyes. (O’ my friends), if you look at it carefully, (you would find that the state) of a self-conceited person is quite another side (of the story. ਪਰ, ਗਹੁਨਾਲਤੱਕਕੇਵੇਖੋ, ਮਨਦੇਪਿੱਛੇਤੁਰਨਵਾਲੇਮਨੁੱਖਦਾਦੂਜਾਪਾਸਾਹੁੰਦਾਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਸਦੀਹਾਲਤਇਸਦੇਉਲਟਹੁੰਦੀਹੈ)। منمُکھدوُجیِترپھہےَۄیکھہُندرِنِہالِ॥
ਗੁਰਕੈਸਬਦਿਰਹਿਆਭਰਪੂਰਿ॥੭॥ gur kai sabad rahi-aa bharpoor. ||7|| Through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, He is pervading and permeating everywhere. ||7|| Yes, through the (reflection on the) Guru’s word, (they realize that God) is pervading everywhere. ||7|| ਗੁਰੂਦੇਸ਼ਬਦਦੀਰਾਹੀਂਉਹਨਾਂਨੂੰਉਹਹਰਥਾਂਵਿਆਪਕਦਿੱਸਦਾਹੈ॥੭॥ گُرکےَسبدِرہِیابھرپوُرِ॥੭॥ بھر پور۔ مکمل طور پر (7) کلام مرشد کے ذریعے خدا ہر جگہ بستا دکھائی دیتا
ਸਮਰਥ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕਾਰਣ ਕਰਣ ॥ samrath su-aamee kaaran karan. Our All-powerful Lord and Master is the Doer of all, the Cause of all causes. O’ the all-powerful God, ਹੇ ਸਭ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ! سمرتھسُیامیِکارنھکرنھ॥ سمرتھ سوآمی با توفیق مالک ۔ کارن کرن۔ اسباب پیدا کرنیوالا۔ اے ہر قسم کی
ਬਿਨੁਸਤਿਗੁਰਕਿਨੈਨਪਾਇਓਮਨਿਵੇਖਹੁਕੋਪਤੀਆਇ॥ bin satgur kinai na paa-i-o man vaykhhu ko patee-aa-ay. Without the True Guru, no one finds the Lord; anyone can try and see. (O’ my friends), without the (guidance of the) true Guru, no one has ever obtained (God). You may go and try it in your mind. ਬੇਸ਼ੱਕਕੋਈਧਿਰਮਨਵਿਚਨਿਰਨਾਕਰਕੇਵੇਖਲਵੇ, ਗੁਰੂ (ਦੀਸਰਨ) ਤੋਂਬਿਨਾਕਿਸੇਨੇਭੀ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾਦਾਨਾਮ-ਧਨ) ਹਾਸਲਨਹੀਂਕੀਤਾ।
