ਪਉੜੀ ॥ pa-orhee. Pauree: پئُڑیِ॥ ਤੁਧੁ ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਰੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਤਿ ਤੂ ਵਰਨਾ ਬਾਹਰਾ ॥ tuDh roop na raykh-i-aa jaattoo varnaa baahraa. You have no form or shape, no social class or race. O’ God, You don’t have any form, feature or caste, and You are beyond any lineages or races. ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ (ਖ਼ਾਸ)

ਆਇਆ ਓਹੁ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਹੈ ਜਿ ਕੁਲ ਕਾ ਕਰੇ ਉਧਾਰੁ ॥ aa-i-aa oh parvaan hai je kul kaa karay uDhaar. Celebrated and approved is the coming into the world of such a person, who saves all his generations as well. (In this way, he) emancipates his (entire) lineage. Celebrated and approved is the coming (spiritual awakening)
ਬੂਝਹੁਗਿਆਨੀਬੂਝਣਾਏਹਅਕਥਕਥਾਮਨਮਾਹਿ॥ boojhhu gi-aanee boojh-naa ayh akath kathaa man maahi. O’ the wise ones, solve this riddle, this indescribable discourse of God in your mind. ਹੇਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ! ਅਕੱਥਪ੍ਰਭੂਦੀਇਹਡੂੰਘੀਰਾਜ਼ਵਾਲੀਗੱਲਆਪਣੇਮਨਵਿਚਸਮਝ। بوُجھہُگِیانیِبوُجھنھاایہاکتھکتھامنماہِ॥ بوجھنا۔ بجھارت ۔ پہیلی ۔ اکتھ ۔ جوکہی نہ جا سکے ۔ کتھا ۔ کہانی۔ اے عالمو اس ناقابل بیان معمہ کا حل اپنے من میں تلاش کرو
ਬਿਨੁਕਰਮਾਕਿਛੂਨਪਾਈਐਜੇਬਹੁਤੁਲੋਚਾਹੀ॥ bin karmaa kichhoo na paa-ee-ai jay bahut lochaahee. But, no matter how much they crave, without the grace of God, they cannot attain anything (Naam). ਪਰਭਾਵੇਂਕਿਤਨੀਹੀਲਾਲਸਾਕਰਨਪ੍ਰਭੂਦੀਮਿਹਰਤੋਂਬਿਨਾਨਾਮਨਹੀਂਮਿਲਦਾ। بِنُکرماکِچھوُنپائیِئےَجےبہُتُلوچاہیِ॥ کرما ۔ تقدیر۔ اعمال۔ لوچاہی۔ خوآہش کرے ۔ بغیر اعمال و مقدر خوآہ کوئی کتنی خوآہش کیوں نہ کرے الہٰیکرم وعنایت کے بغیر نام حاصل نہیں ہوتا
ਭੋਲਤਣਿ ਭੈ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਹੇਕੈ ਪਾਧਰ ਹੀਡੁ ॥ bhogtanbhai man vasai haykai paaDhar heed. O’ my friends, the one and only simple righteous path is, that simplicity and fear of God should reside in our mind. ਹੇ ਭਾਈ, ਉਹੀ ਇਕ ਸਿਧਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਭੋਲਾ-ਪਨ ਤੇ (ਰੱਬੀ) ਡਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ
ਪਉੜੀ ॥ pa-orhee. Pauree: پئُڑیِ ॥ ਦੋਵੈ ਤਰਫਾ ਉਪਾਈਓਨੁ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਕਤਿ ਸਿਵ ਵਾਸਾ ॥ dovai tarfaa opaa-ee-on vich sakat siv vaasaa. O’ my friends, God has created both paths (of following the Guru’s teachings, or the dictates of one’s own mind). In this world abide both the worldly power, and divine soul. ਇਸ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿਚ
ਆਪੇਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿਸਭਸਾਜੀਅਨੁਆਪੇਵਰਤੀਜੈ॥ aapay sarisat sabh saajee-an aapay varteejai. O’ my friends, invaluable is God’s Name. We can never assess its worth.
