ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਸਾਚੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵ ॥ bhaa-ee ray saachee satgur sayv. O brother, true (and most fruitful) is the teachings of the true Guru, ਹੇ ਵੀਰ! ਕੇਵਲ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ-ਸੇਵਾ ਹੀ ਸਤਿ ਹੈ। بھائیِ رے ساچیِ ستِگُر سیۄ اے برادران ملت خدا رسیدگانوں سنو نجات آزادی چھٹکارہ سچے نام سے ہے ۔ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੁਠੈ
ਬੰਧਨ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਮੇਰੀ ਰਾਖੈ ਮਮਤਾ ॥੩॥ banDhan mukat santahu mayree raakhai mamtaa. ||3|| But O’ saints, I know that out of His fatherly affection, He will liberate me from worldly bonds. ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਪਿਤਾ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ بنّدھن مُکتُ سنّتہُ میریِ راکھےَ
ਨਾਨਕ ਧੰਨੁ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਜਿਨ ਸਹ ਨਾਲਿ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥੪॥੨੩॥੯੩॥ naanak Dhan sohaaganee jin sah naal pi-aar. ||4||23||93|| O’ Nanak, blessed are those soul-brides who have true love for their groom. ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ (ਬਣ ਗਿਆ) ਹੈ l نانک دھنّنُ سوہاگنھیِ جِن سہ نالِ پِیارُ اے نانک وہ انسان
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਗਹਿਰ ਗਭੀਰੁ ਹੈ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਅਘਖੰਡੁ ॥ satgur gahir gabheer hai sukh saagar agh-khand. The true Guru is like a deep and profound ocean of peace and destroyer of sins. ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ (ਮਾਨੋ), ਇਕ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਵੱਡੇ ਜਿਗਰੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ستِگُرُ گہِر گبھیِرُ
ਸੰਤਾ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਬਖਸਿੰਦੁ ॥ santaa sangat man vasai parabh pareetam bakhsind. In the Society of the Saints, the all merciful beloved God comes to dwell within the mind. ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਣਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। سنّتا سنّگتِ منِ ۄسےَ پ٘ربھُ پ٘ریِتمُ بکھسِنّدُ صحبت و قربت پاکدامن
ਐਥੈ ਮਿਲਹਿ ਵਡਾਈਆ ਦਰਗਹਿ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਥਾਉ ॥੩॥ aithai mileh vadaa-ee-aa dargahi paavahi thaa-o. ||3|| (In this way), you would obtain glory in this world and honor in God’s court. ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਸਭ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ) ਆਦਰ-ਮਾਣ ਮਿਲਣਗੇ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਆਦਰ ਪਾਏਂਗਾ l ایَتھےَ مِلہِ ۄڈائیِیا درگہِ پاۄہِ تھاءُ س سے اس جہان
ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹ ਪਰੀਤਿ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਸੁਖੀ ਨ ਦੀਸੈ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ maa-i-aa moh pareet Dharig sukhee na deesai ko-ay. ||1|| rahaa-o. Accursed is emotional attachment and love of Maya; no one in love with Maya is seen to be at peace. ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ)
ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ sireeraag mehlaa 5. Siree Raag, by the Fifth Guru: ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਭੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਗਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥ mil satgur sabh dukh ga-i-aa har sukh vasi-aa man aa-ay. Meeting the True Guru and following his teachings, one’s sufferings end, and the mind is filled with the bliss of God’
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥ mayray man har har naam Dhi-aa-ay. O’ my mind meditate on the name of God with love and devotion. ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ। میرے من ہرِ ہرِ نامُ دھِیاءِ اے میرے من الہٰی نام یاد کر ਨਾਮੁ ਸਹਾਈ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਆਗੈ ਲਏ ਛਡਾਇ ॥੧॥
ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗੁ ਮਸਕਤੇ ਤੂਠੈ ਪਾਵਾ ਦੇਵ ॥ saaDhoo sang maskatay toothai paavaa dayv. O’ God, if You show Your kindness, then please bless me with The association and service of the saints. ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਮਿਲੇ। سادھوُ سنّگُ مسکتے توُٹھےَ
