ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਪੀਵਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਥਿਰੁ ਥੀਵਤੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਬਨੁ ਫੀਕਾ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥ amrit har peevtay sadaa thir theevtay bikhai ban feekaa jaani-aa. They partake the nectar of Naam and become spiritually alive. ਪੁਰਬੇ ਕਮਾਏ ਸ੍ਰੀਰੰਗ ਪਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਚਿਰੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨਿਆ ॥ purbay kamaa-ay sareerang paa-ay har milay chiree vichhunni-aa. ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਬੁਲਾ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਦਾਨੁ ਮੈ ਦਾਜੋ ॥ har parabh mayray babulaa har dayvhu daan mai daajo. O’ my father, give me Naam as my wedding gift and dowry. ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ! (ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਦਾਜ ਮੰਗਦੀ ਹਾਂ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਦਾਨ ਦੇਹ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹੀ ਦਾਜ ਦੇਹ। ہرِ پ٘ربھُ میرے بابُلا ہرِ
ਇਹੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੇਰੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਚਾਲੈ ਝੂਠੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗਾਈ ॥ ih moh maa-i-aa tayrai sang na chaalai jhoothee pareet lagaa-ee. This emotional attachment to Maya in which you have entangled yourself, will not go with you; it is false to fall in love with it. ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਮੋਹ (ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਫਸਿਆ ਪਿਆ
ਇਹੁ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਪੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਝੂਠੀ ਅੰਤਿ ਛੋਡਿ ਚਲਿਆ ਪਛੁਤਾਈ ॥ ih Dhan sampai maa-i-aa jhoothee ant chhod chali-aa pachhutaa-ee. This wealth, property and Maya are false. In the end, you must leave these, and depart in sorrow. ਇਹ ਦੌਲਤ, ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੂੜ ਹਨ। ਅਖੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਟੁਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ
ਅੰਤਿ ਕਾਲਿ ਪਛੁਤਾਸੀ ਅੰਧੁਲੇ ਜਾ ਜਮਿ ਪਕੜਿ ਚਲਾਇਆ ॥ ant kaal pachhutaasee anDhulay jaa jam pakarh chalaa-i-aa. At the end, the blind (spiritually ignorant) person regrets deeply when the messenger of death carries him away. ਹੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੀਵ! ਜਦੋਂ ਜਮ ਨੇ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ, ਤਦੋਂ ਅਖ਼ੀਰਲੇ ਵੇਲੇ
ਦੂਜੈ ਪਹਰੈ ਰੈਣਿ ਕੈ ਵਣਜਾਰਿਆ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਾ ਵਿਸਰਿ ਗਇਆ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥ doojai pahrai rain kai vanjaari-aa mitraa visar ga-i-aa Dhi-aan.
