ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਸਾਧ ਮਗ ਸੁਨਿ ਕਰਿ ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ bayd puraan saaDh mag sun kar nimakh na har gun gaavai. ||1|| rahaa-o. ਕੋਈ ਜਿ ਮੂਰਖੁ ਲੋਭੀਆ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਸੁਣੀ ਕਹਿਆ ॥੨॥ ko-ee je moorakh lobhee-aa mool na sunee kahi-aa. ||2|| the foolish greedy person doesn’t listen to what is being said. ||2||. ਪਰ ਜੀਵ ਐਸਾ ਕੋਈ ਮੂਰਖ ਲੋਭੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਅਜੇਹੀ) ਆਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਦਾ ॥੨॥ کۄئی جِ مۄُرکھُ لۄبھیِیا مۄُلِ ن سُݨی کہِیا ॥2॥ بے وقوف لالچی شخص اس کی بات کو نہیں سنتا جو کہا جارہا ہے۔ ਇਕਸੁ ਦੁਹੁ ਚਹੁ ਕਿਆ ਗਣੀ ਸਭ ਇਕਤੁ ਸਾਦਿ ਮੁਠੀ ॥ ikas duhu chahu ki-aa ganee sabh ikat saad
ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਕਾਟਿ ਕੀਏ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥ bharam bha-o kaat kee-ay nirvairay jee-o. By removing my fears and doubts, the Guru has made me free of enmity. ਮੇਰਾ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਤੇ ਡਰ ਨਵਿਰਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨੀ–ਰਹਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ। بھ٘رمُ بھءُ کاٹِ کیِۓ نِرویَرے جیءُ ॥ میرے خوف اور شبہات کو دور کرکے ، گرو نے مجھے دشمنی سے پاک کر دیا ہے ਗੁਰ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਆਸ ਪੂਰਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥ gur man kee aas pooraa-ee jee-o. ||4|| The Guru
ਭਰਮ ਮੋਹ ਕਛੁ ਸੂਝਸਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਇਹ ਪੈਖਰ ਪਏ ਪੈਰਾ ॥੨॥ bharam moh kachh soojhas naahee ih paikhar pa-ay pairaa. ||2|| Due to attachment with the illusionary world, he cannot think righteously and the shackles of Maya slow down his spiritual progress. ਸੰਦੇਹ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁੱਝਦੀ । ਇਹ ਜੂੜ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ॥੨॥ بھرم مۄہ کچھُ سۄُجھسِ ناہی اِہ پیَکھر پۓ پیَرا ॥2॥ فانی دنیا کے ساتھ وابستگی کی وجہ سے ، وہ راستبازی کے
ਮਾਨੁ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ਦੋਊ ਸਮਾਨੇ ਮਸਤਕੁ ਡਾਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਪਾਗਿਓ ॥ maan abhimaan do-oo samaanay mastak daar gur paagi-o.
