ਸਭ ਜੀਅ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
sabh jee-a tayray da-i-aalaa.
O’ my Merciful God, all beings have been created by You,
Ee Mungu wangu mwenye Huruma, viumbe vyote wameumbwa na Wewe,
ਅਪਨੇ ਭਗਤ ਕਰਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ॥
apnay bhagat karahi partipaalaa.
You cherish Your devotees.
Wewe unathamini watawa wako.
ਅਚਰਜੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥
achraj tayree vadi-aa-ee.
O’ God, astonishing is Your grace.
Ee Mungu, neema yako inastaajabisha.
ਨਿਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੨॥੨੩॥੮੭॥
nit naanak naam Dhi-aa-ee. ||2||23||87||
O’ Nanak, always meditate on Naam with loving devotion. ||2||23||87||

ਨਾਲਿ ਨਰਾਇਣੁ ਮੇਰੈ ॥
naal naraa-in mayrai.
All-pervading God is within me,
Mungu anayeenea kote yu ndani mwangu,
ਜਮਦੂਤੁ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਨੇਰੈ ॥
jamdoot na aavai nayrai.
and now even the fear of death doesn’t come close to me.
Na sasa hata hofu ya kifo hainikaribii mimi.
ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਖੈ ॥
kanth laa-ay parabh raakhai.
God protects and keeps that person in His presence,
Mungu analinda na kuweka mtu huyo katika uwepo wake,
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਖੈ ॥੧॥
satgur kee sach saakhai. ||1||
who has received the divine teachings from the true Guru. ||1||
ambaye amepokea mafundisho takatifu kutoka kwa Guru wa kweli.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ॥
gur poorai pooree keetee.
The devotee whom the perfect Guru blessed with spiritual success in his life,
Mtawa ambaye Guru kamili amebariki na mafanikio ya kiroho maishani mwake,
ਦੁਸਮਨ ਮਾਰਿ ਵਿਡਾਰੇ ਸਗਲੇ ਦਾਸ ਕਉ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਦੀਤੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
dusman maar vidaaray saglay daas ka-o sumat deetee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
God destroyed all his enemies (vices) and blessed him with the sublime intellect to remember Naam with adoration. ||1||Pause||
Mungu aliangamiza maadui wake wote (maovu) na kumbariki na uwekevu mtukufu wa kukumbuka Naam kwa ibada. ||1||Sitisha||
ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਸਗਲੇ ਥਾਨ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
parabh saglay thaan vasaa-ay.
Those whose sensory organs became totally virtuous by God’s grace,
Wale ambao viungo vyao vya hisi vilikuwa vyema kabisa kwa neema ya Mungu,
ਸੁਖਿ ਸਾਂਦਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਏ ॥
sukh saaNd fir aa-ay.
they turned away from the vices and always remained in a state of bliss.
Waligeuka kutoka kwa maovu na daima walibaki katika hali ya raha tele.
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਏ ॥
naanak parabh sarnaa-ay.
O’ Nanak, stay in the refuge of that God,
Ee Nanak, baki katika kimbilio cha Mungu huyo,
ਜਿਨਿ ਸਗਲੇ ਰੋਗ ਮਿਟਾਏ ॥੨॥੨੪॥੮੮॥
jin saglay rog mitaa-ay. ||2||24||88||
who has destroyed all the afflictions of those who remained in His refuge. ||2||24||88||

ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਸਰਨੀ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
sarab sukhaa kaa daataa satgur taa kee sarnee paa-ee-ai.
The Guru is the bestower of all comforts; we should seek his refuge.
Guru ndiye mtawaza wa starehe ; tunafaa kutafuta kimbilio chake.
ਭਗਤਿ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਇਨ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਨਾਂ ॥੫॥
bhagat kai paraym in hee hai jaanaaN. ||5||
understood this secret through loving devotional worship. ||5||
Elewa siri hii kupitia ibada ya kujitolea kwa upendo.
ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕਉ ਨਹੀ ਆਵਨ ਜਾਨਾ ॥
is man ka-o nahee aavan jaanaa.
The mind (soul) of that person is not cast in the cycles of birth and death,
Akili (roho) ya mtu huyo haitupwi katika mizunguko ya kuzaliwa na kufa,
ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਭਰਮੁ ਗਇਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਸਾਚੁ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥੬॥
jis kaa bharam ga-i-aa tin saach pachhaanaa. ||6||
whose doubt has been dispelled and has realized God. ||6||
ambaye shaka yake imeondolewa na amegundua Mungu.
ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕਉ ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਰੇਖਿਆ ਕਾਈ ॥
is man ka-o roop na raykh-i-aa kaa-ee.
This mind (soul) has no form or feature.
Akili hii (roho) haina muundo au maumbile.
ਹੁਕਮੇ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਬੂਝਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੭॥
hukmay ho-i-aa hukam boojh samaa-ee. ||7||
By God’s will it came into this world as a human being and after realizing God, it merges back into Him. ||7||
Kwa mapenzi ya Mungu ilikuja duniani humu kama binadamu na baada ya kugundua Mungu, inaunganishwa tena naye Mwenyewe.
ਇਸ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਨੈ ਭੇਉ ॥
is man kaa ko-ee jaanai bhay-o.
The person who realizes the mystery of the mind
Mtu anayegundua fumbo la akili
ਇਹ ਮਨਿ ਲੀਣ ਭਏ ਸੁਖਦੇਉ ॥੮॥
ih man leen bha-ay sukh-day-o. ||8||
becomes one with the peace giving God by merging within this mind itself. ||8||
anakuwa mmoja na Mungu anayetoa amani kwa kwa kuunganishwa ndani mwa akili yake yenyewe.
ਜੀਉ ਏਕੁ ਅਰੁ ਸਗਲ ਸਰੀਰਾ ॥
jee-o ayk ar sagal sareeraa.
There is only one prime Soul which pervades all bodies and
Kuna Roho moja kuu pekee inayoenea miili yote na
ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕਉ ਰਵਿ ਰਹੇ ਕਬੀਰਾ ॥੯॥੧॥੩੬॥
is man ka-o rav rahay kabeeraa. ||9||1||36||
it is this prime soul upon whom Kabir is contemplating.||9||1||36||
ni roho hii kuu ambayo Kabir anatafakari kuihusu.

ahinis ayk naam jo jaagay. kaytak siDh bha-ay liv laagay. ||1|| rahaa-o. |
Countless people have achieved perfection, who day and night have remained awake and alert to the Name of God. ||1||pause||
Watu wasiohesabika wanatimiza ukamili, ambao mchana na usiku wamebaki wameamka na wako macho kwa Jina la Mungu. ||1||Sitisha||
ਸਾਧਕ ਸਿਧ ਸਗਲ ਮੁਨਿ ਹਾਰੇ ॥
saaDhak siDh sagal mun haaray.
The seekers, adepts, and sages exhausted themselves practicing their ways to cross the worldly ocean,
Watafuta, stadi na wahenga walijichosha wakitenda njia zao ili kuvuka bahari ya kidunia,
ਏਕ ਨਾਮ ਕਲਿਪ ਤਰ ਤਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
ayk naam kalip tar taaray. ||1||
but only God’s Name can carry people across the world-ocean like the mythical wish-fulfilling Kalap tree ||1||
lakini Jina la Mungu pekee linaweza kubeba watu kuvuka bahari-dunia kama mti wa Kalap wa kihadithi unaotimiza matakwa.
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਹਿ ਨ ਆਨਾ ॥
jo har haray so hohi na aanaa.
Those who are spiritually rejuvenated by God, do not worship anyone else.
Wale ambao wamesisimuliwa kiroho na Mungu, hawaabudu yeyote mwengine.
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥੨॥੩੭॥
kahi kabeer raam naam pachhaanaa. ||2||37||
Kabir says: They have realized God’s Name. ||2||37||
Kabir anasema: Wao wamegundua Jina la Mungu.

Ee akili isiyo na haya, kwani huhisi aibu?
ਹਰਿ ਤਜਿ ਕਤ ਕਾਹੂ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har taj kat kaahoo kay jaaNhee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
forsaking God, where and to whom you go to seek help ?||1||pause||
ukiacha Mungu, unaenda kutafuta usaidizi wapi na kwa nani? ||1||Sitisha||
ਜਾ ਕੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਊਚਾ ਹੋਈ ॥
jaa ko thaakur oochaa ho-ee.
One whose Master-God is the highest and most exalted,
Yule ambaye Bwana-Mungu wake ni wa juu zaidi na aliyeinuliwa zaidi,
ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਪਰ ਘਰ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਸੋਹੀ ॥੧॥
so jan par ghar jaat na sohee. ||1||
it is does not behoove him to go to others for any help. ||1||
haimstahili kuendea wengine kutafuta usaidizi wowote.
ਸੋ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥
so saahib rahi-aa bharpoor.
O’ my mind, the Master-God is pervading everywhere.

ਸਗਲ ਕਲੇਸ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਇਸੁ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sagal kalays miteh is tan tay man chindi-aa fal paa-ee-ai. rahaa-o.
By doing this, all the afflictions from our body are dispelled, and we achieve the fruit of our heart’s desire. ||Pause||
Kwa kufanya hivi, magonjwa yote kutoka kwa mwili wetu yanaondolewa, na tunatimiza tunda la hamu ya moyo wetu. ||Sitisha||
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਸਭਿ ਕੀਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਊਚਾ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
jee-a jant jaa kay sabh keenay parabh oochaa agam apaaraa.
God, who created all beings and creatures, is the highest of all, inaccessible and infinite.
Mungu, ambaye aliumba viumbe na wanyama wote, ndiye wa juu zaidi kwa wote, hawezi kufikiwa na hana mwisho.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲ ਭਏ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ॥੨॥੨੭॥੯੧॥
saaDhsang naanak naam Dhi-aa-i-aa mukh oojal bha-ay darbaaraa. ||2||27||91||
O’ Nanak, those who meditated on Naam in the holycongregation, received the honor in God’s presence. ||2||27||91||
Ee Nanak, wale waliotafakari kuhusu Naam katika ushirika mtakatifu, walipokea staha katika uwepo wa Mungu.

I remember my Master-God with loving devotion,
Nakumbuka Bwana-Mungu wangu kwa ujitoaji wa upendo,
ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰੈਨਿ ਸਦ ਧਿਆਈ ॥
dinas rain sad Dhi-aa-ee.
whether day or night, I always meditate on God.
Iwapo ni mchana au usiku, daima natafakari kuhusu Mungu.
ਹਾਥ ਦੇਇ ਜਿਨਿ ਰਾਖੇ ॥
haath day-ay jin raakhay.
who extended his support and saved me from the sorrows and vices,
aliyenyoosha tegemezo yake na kuniokoa kutoka huzuni na maovu,
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਮਹਾ ਰਸ ਚਾਖੇ ॥੧॥
har naam mahaa ras chaakhay. ||1||
and I tasted the sublime nectar of His Name. ||1||
na nilionja nekta tukufu ya Jina lake.
