ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
ईश्वर एक है, जिसे सतगुरु की कृपा से पाया जा सकता है।
One Eternal God, realized by the grace of the true Guru:
Satu Tuhan yang Kekal abadi, yang disedari oleh belas kasih Guru yang sejati:
ਜਿਨ ਸਿਰਿ ਸੋਹਨਿ ਪਟੀਆ ਮਾਂਗੀ ਪਾਇ ਸੰਧੂਰੁ ॥
जिन सिरि सोहनि पटीआ मांगी पाइ संधूरु ॥
जिन सुन्दर नारियों के सिर पर माँग में सिन्दूर एवं काले केशों की पट्टियाँ शोभायमान होती थीं,
The heads of those girls which used to be adorned with tresses and partings filled with vermillion,
Kepala gadis-gadis yang dulu dihiasi dengan rambut dan perpisahan yang dipenuhi vermillion,
ਸੇ ਸਿਰ ਕਾਤੀ ਮੁੰਨੀਅਨੑਿ ਗਲ ਵਿਚਿ ਆਵੈ ਧੂੜਿ ॥
से सिर काती मुंनीअन्हि गल विचि आवै धूड़ि ॥
उनके सिर कैंची से काटे जा रहे हैं और मुँह में मिट्टी डाली जा रही है।
Those heads are being sheared with scissors and their throats are being choked with dust.
Kepala-kepala itu dicukur dengan gunting dan leher mereka tersedak dengan debu.
ਮਹਲਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਹੋਦੀਆ ਹੁਣਿ ਬਹਣਿ ਨ ਮਿਲਨੑਿ ਹਦੂਰਿ ॥੧॥
महला अंदरि होदीआ हुणि बहणि न मिलन्हि हदूरि ॥१॥
जो पहले सुन्दर महलों में बसती थीं, अब उन्हें महलों के निकट भी बैठने नहीं दिया जाता॥ १॥
They used to live in palatial mansions but now they are not even allowed near those palaces. ||1||
Dulu mereka tinggal di rumah-rumah besar tetapi sekarang mereka tidak dibenarkan berdekatan dengan istana-istana tersebut. || 1 ||
ਆਦੇਸੁ ਬਾਬਾ ਆਦੇਸੁ ॥
आदेसु बाबा आदेसु ॥
हे परमपिता ! तुझे शत-शत प्रणाम है।
O’ primal God, I salute and bow to You.
Ya Tuhan yang mulia, aku memberi salam dan tunduk kepada-Mu.
ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਖਹਿ ਵੇਸ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
आदि पुरख तेरा अंतु न पाइआ करि करि देखहि वेस ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
हे आदिपुरुष ! तेरा अन्त नहीं पाया जा सकता, तू अनेक वेष हरदम रचता एवं अपनी लीला देखता है॥ १॥ रहाउ॥
O’God, we are unable to comprehend Your worldly plays; You continuously create and behold these plays in many different ways. ||1||Pause||
Ya Tuhan, kami tidak dapat memahami permainan duniawi-Mu; Anda terus membuat dan melihat drama ini dengan pelbagai cara. || 1 || Jeda ||
ਜਦਹੁ ਸੀਆ ਵੀਆਹੀਆ ਲਾੜੇ ਸੋਹਨਿ ਪਾਸਿ ॥
जदहु सीआ वीआहीआ लाड़े सोहनि पासि ॥
जब इन सुन्दरियों का विवाह हुआ था, उनके दूल्हे उनके समीप अति सुन्दर लगते थे।
When these ladies were married, their grooms looked handsome beside them
Ketika wanita-wanita ini berkahwin, pengantin lelaki mereka kelihatan tampan di sebelah mereka
ਹੀਡੋਲੀ ਚੜਿ ਆਈਆ ਦੰਦ ਖੰਡ ਕੀਤੇ ਰਾਸਿ ॥
हीडोली चड़ि आईआ दंद खंड कीते रासि ॥
वे डोली में बैठकर आई थीं, इन्होंने हाथी दांत के सुन्दर चूड़े सजाए हुए थे।
They came riding on palanquins and their arms were adorned with ivory bangles.
Mereka datang menunggang tandu dan lengan mereka dihiasi dengan gelang gading.
ਉਪਰਹੁ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਰੀਐ ਝਲੇ ਝਿਮਕਨਿ ਪਾਸਿ ॥੨॥
उपरहु पाणी वारीऐ झले झिमकनि पासि ॥२॥
ससुराल आगमन पर स्वागत् के समय उन पर शगुनों का जल वार दिया था, झिलमिल करते पंखे उन पर फेरे जाते थे॥ २॥
Pot of ceremonial water was circled over their heads (a ritual to greet the bride) and glass studded fans were glittering in their hands. ||2||
Pot air upacara dilingkari di atas kepala mereka (ritual untuk menyambut pengantin perempuan) dan kipas bertatahkan kaca berkilauan di tangan mereka. || 2 ||
ਇਕੁ ਲਖੁ ਲਹਨੑਿ ਬਹਿਠੀਆ ਲਖੁ ਲਹਨੑਿ ਖੜੀਆ ॥
इकु लखु लहन्हि बहिठीआ लखु लहन्हि खड़ीआ ॥
जब वह ससुराल में बैठी थीं तो लाखों रुपए उन्हें दिए गए थे और जब खड़ी हुई तो लाखों ही भेंट किए गए।
Hundreds of thousands of coins were given to them as welcome gifts.
Ratusan ribu syiling diberikan kepada mereka sebagai hadiah alu-aluan.
ਗਰੀ ਛੁਹਾਰੇ ਖਾਂਦੀਆ ਮਾਣਨੑਿ ਸੇਜੜੀਆ ॥
गरी छुहारे खांदीआ माणन्हि सेजड़ीआ ॥
वह गिरी छुहारे खाती थीं और सुन्दर सेज़ों पर शयन करती थीं।
They munched on dried coconuts and dates and enjoyed bridal beds.
Mereka mengunyah kelapa kering dan kurma dan menikmati tempat tidur pengantin.
ਤਿਨੑ ਗਲਿ ਸਿਲਕਾ ਪਾਈਆ ਤੁਟਨੑਿ ਮੋਤਸਰੀਆ ॥੩॥
तिन्ह गलि सिलका पाईआ तुटन्हि मोतसरीआ ॥३॥
अब उनके गले पर दुष्टों ने रस्सी डाली हुई हैं और उनकी मोतियों की माला टूट गई हैं।॥ ३॥
But now their pearl necklaces are being snatched by the evil soldiers (of Babar, the Mugal invader) and instead ropes have been put around their necks. ||3||
Tetapi sekarang kalung mutiara mereka disambar oleh tentera jahat (Babar, penyerang Mugal) dan sebaliknya tali telah diletakkan di leher mereka. || 3 ||
ਧਨੁ ਜੋਬਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਵੈਰੀ ਹੋਏ ਜਿਨੑੀ ਰਖੇ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਇ ॥
धनु जोबनु दुइ वैरी होए जिन्ही रखे रंगु लाइ ॥
धन एवं यौवन पर उनको बहुत गर्व था परन्तु आज दोनों ही उनके वैरी बन गए हैं।
Their worldly wealth and youthful beauty, which gave them so much pleasure, have now become their enemies.
Kekayaan duniawi dan kecantikan muda mereka, yang memberi mereka banyak kesenangan, kini telah menjadi musuh mereka.
ਦੂਤਾ ਨੋ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ ਲੈ ਚਲੇ ਪਤਿ ਗਵਾਇ ॥
दूता नो फुरमाइआ लै चले पति गवाइ ॥
बाबर ने अपने क्रूर सिपाहियों को आदेश दिया हुआ है, जो उनकी इज्जत लूटकर उन्हें ले जा रहे हैं।
The invader had ordered his evil soldiers to dishonor and drive them away.
Penceroboh telah memerintahkan askar jahatnya untuk menghina dan mengusir mereka.
ਜੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਦੇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਜੇ ਭਾਵੈ ਦੇਇ ਸਜਾਇ ॥੪॥
जे तिसु भावै दे वडिआई जे भावै देइ सजाइ ॥४॥
यदि ईश्वर को भला लगे तो वह आदर-सम्मान प्रदान करता है, यदि उसकी रज़ा हो तो वह दण्ड देता है॥ ४॥
If it pleases God, He grants glory to His beings; He punishes them if He feels like doing so. ||4||
Sekiranya ia menyenangkan Tuhan, Dia mengagungkan makhluk-makhluk-Nya; Dia menghukum mereka jika Dia merasa seperti melakukannya. || 4 ||
ਅਗੋ ਦੇ ਜੇ ਚੇਤੀਐ ਤਾਂ ਕਾਇਤੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਜਾਇ ॥
अगो दे जे चेतीऐ तां काइतु मिलै सजाइ ॥
यदि इन्सान पहले ही प्रभु का नाम याद करता रहे, तो उसे दण्ड क्यों मिले?”
If we remember and perform our duties, then why would we be punished?
Sekiranya kita ingat dan melaksanakan tugas kita, mengapa kita dihukum?
ਸਾਹਾਂ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਗਵਾਈਆ ਰੰਗਿ ਤਮਾਸੈ ਚਾਇ ॥
साहां सुरति गवाईआ रंगि तमासै चाइ ॥
रंग-तमाशों एवं रंगरलियों में हाकिमों ने अपनी होश गंवा दी थी।
Engrossed in sensual pleasures and revelries, the Pathan kings had lost their minds and had forgotten their duties to defend their kingdoms.
Terganggu dengan kenikmatan dan kesenangan sensual, raja-raja Pathan telah kehilangan akal dan lupa tugas mereka untuk mempertahankan kerajaan mereka.
ਬਾਬਰਵਾਣੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਗਈ ਕੁਇਰੁ ਨ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਇ ॥੫॥
बाबरवाणी फिरि गई कुइरु न रोटी खाइ ॥५॥
जब बाबर के शासन का ढिंढोरा पिट गया तो किसी (पठान) शहजादे ने भोजन नहीं खाया ॥ ५॥
Since Babar’s rule has been proclaimed, even a prince has no food to eat. ||5||
Sejak pemerintahan Babar diumumkan, bahkan seorang pangeran tidak memiliki makanan untuk dimakan. || 5 ||
ਇਕਨਾ ਵਖਤ ਖੁਆਈਅਹਿ ਇਕਨੑਾ ਪੂਜਾ ਜਾਇ ॥
इकना वखत खुआईअहि इकन्हा पूजा जाइ ॥
कई मुसलमानों के पाँच नमाजों के वक्त छिन गए हैं और कई हिन्दुओं का पूजा-पाठ का समय चला गया है।
Some (the Muslims) have lost their five times of daily prayer and some (the Hindus) have lost their worship as well.
Sebahagian (orang-orang Islam) telah kehilangan solat lima waktu setiap hari dan beberapa orang (Hindu) juga kehilangan ibadat mereka.
ਚਉਕੇ ਵਿਣੁ ਹਿੰਦਵਾਣੀਆ ਕਿਉ ਟਿਕੇ ਕਢਹਿ ਨਾਇ ॥
चउके विणु हिंदवाणीआ किउ टिके कढहि नाइ ॥
हिन्दु स्त्रियों न स्नान करके तिलक लगा सकती हैं, न ही उनके चौके पवित्र रह गए हैं।
Now the Hindu women can neither bathe and apply the ceremonial marks to their foreheads nor they have their sacred kitchens
Sekarang wanita Hindu tidak boleh mandi dan memakai tanda upacara di dahi mereka atau mereka juga mempunyai dapur suci mereka
ਰਾਮੁ ਨ ਕਬਹੂ ਚੇਤਿਓ ਹੁਣਿ ਕਹਣਿ ਨ ਮਿਲੈ ਖੁਦਾਇ ॥੬॥
रामु न कबहू चेतिओ हुणि कहणि न मिलै खुदाइ ॥६॥
जिन हिन्दुओं ने कभी भी राम को याद नहीं किया था। अब उन्हें खुदा-खुदा कहना भी नहीं मिलता॥ ६॥
They never remembered god Ram and now to please the barbaric soldiers they cannot even chant Khudaa. ||6||
Mereka tidak pernah mengingati tuhan Ram dan sekarang untuk menyenangkan tentera biadab mereka bahkan tidak dapat melaungkan Khudaa. || 6 ||
ਇਕਿ ਘਰਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਆਪਣੈ ਇਕਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਪੁਛਹਿ ਸੁਖ ॥
इकि घरि आवहि आपणै इकि मिलि मिलि पुछहि सुख ॥
बाबर के बन्दीगृह से जो विरले पुरुष बचकर अपने घर आते हैं, वे परस्पर मिलकर कुशलक्षेम पूछते हैं।
Some have returned to their homes, and meeting their relatives, they ask about their welfare.
Ada yang kembali ke rumah mereka, dan berjumpa dengan saudara mereka, mereka bertanya tentang kesejahteraan mereka.
ਇਕਨੑਾ ਏਹੋ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਬਹਿ ਬਹਿ ਰੋਵਹਿ ਦੁਖ ॥
इकन्हा एहो लिखिआ बहि बहि रोवहि दुख ॥
उनके भाग्य में यह मुसीबत पूर्वलिखित थी, वे एक दूसरे के पास बैठकर अपना-अपना दु:ख रोते हैं।
For some, it is preordained to sit together and discuss their sufferings.
Bagi sebilangan orang, ia telah ditakdirkan untuk duduk bersama dan membincangkan penderitaan mereka.
ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਥੀਐ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਿਆ ਮਾਨੁਖ ॥੭॥੧੧॥
जो तिसु भावै सो थीऐ नानक किआ मानुख ॥७॥११॥
हे नानक ! बेचारे मनुष्य के वश में क्या है? जो कुछ परमात्मा को उपयुक्त लगता है, केवल वही होता है॥ ७॥ ११॥
O’ Nanak, whatever pleases God, comes to pass; what can the helpless human beings do? ||7||11||
Wahai Nanak, apa sahaja yang dikehendaki Tuhan, berlaku; apa yang boleh dilakukan oleh manusia yang tidak berdaya? || 7 || 11 ||

ਕਹਾ ਸੁ ਖੇਲ ਤਬੇਲਾ ਘੋੜੇ ਕਹਾ ਭੇਰੀ ਸਹਨਾਈ ॥
कहा सु खेल तबेला घोड़े कहा भेरी सहनाई ॥
अभी की बात है कि सैदपुर में खुशियाँ एवं रौनक ही थी लेकिन वे खेल, अस्तबल और घोड़े कहाँ हैं ? नगारे और शहनाई कहाँ है ?”
Where are those sports, stables, horses, drums and the flutes?
Di manakah sukan, kandang kuda, kuda, gendang dan seruling?
ਕਹਾ ਸੁ ਤੇਗਬੰਦ ਗਾਡੇਰੜਿ ਕਹਾ ਸੁ ਲਾਲ ਕਵਾਈ ॥
कहा सु तेगबंद गाडेरड़ि कहा सु लाल कवाई ॥
कहाँ हैं पश्मीने के तेगबन्द और कहाँ है वे लाल वर्दियाँ ?
Where are the sword-belts and chariots? Where are those scarlet uniforms?
Di manakah tali pinggang pedang dan kereta kuda? Di mana pakaian seragam itu?
ਕਹਾ ਸੁ ਆਰਸੀਆ ਮੁਹ ਬੰਕੇ ਐਥੈ ਦਿਸਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੧॥
कहा सु आरसीआ मुह बंके ऐथै दिसहि नाही ॥१॥
वह शीशे-जड़ित अंगूठियाँ एवं सुन्दर चेहरे कहाँ हैं ? वह अब यहाँ दिखाई नहीं देते ॥१॥
Where are the mirrors and the beautiful faces? None of those are visible here. ||1||
Di manakah cermin dan wajah yang cantik? Tidak ada yang dapat dilihat di sini. || 1 ||
ਇਹੁ ਜਗੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂ ਗੋਸਾਈ ॥
इहु जगु तेरा तू गोसाई ॥
हे ईश्वर ! यह जगत तेरा पैदा किया हुआ है, तू सबका मालिक है।
O’ God, this world belongs to You and You are its Master.
Ya Tuhan, dunia ini milikMu dan Engkau adalah Tuannya.
ਏਕ ਘੜੀ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪੇ ਜਰੁ ਵੰਡਿ ਦੇਵੈ ਭਾਂਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
एक घड़ी महि थापि उथापे जरु वंडि देवै भांई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
इस सृष्टि की एक घड़ी में ही रचना करके इसे नष्ट भी कर देता है। जैसे तुझे उपयुक्त लगता है, तू बादशाहों का धन दूसरों को बाँट देता है॥ १॥ रहाउ ॥
In an instant, You create and destroy the creation; You distribute the worldly wealth as it pleases You. ||1||Pause||
Dalam sekelip mata, Engkau membuat dan memusnahkan ciptaan; Engkau mengagihkan kekayaan duniawi sesuka hati Mu. || 1 || Jeda ||
ਕਹਾਂ ਸੁ ਘਰ ਦਰ ਮੰਡਪ ਮਹਲਾ ਕਹਾ ਸੁ ਬੰਕ ਸਰਾਈ ॥
कहां सु घर दर मंडप महला कहा सु बंक सराई ॥
कहाँ है वह घर, दर, मण्डप एवं महल ? कहीं है वह सुन्दर सराय ?
Where are those houses, gates, mansions, palaces, and magnificent inns?
Di manakah rumah, gerbang, rumah besar, istana, dan tempat penginapan yang indah itu?
ਕਹਾਂ ਸੁ ਸੇਜ ਸੁਖਾਲੀ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਵੇਖਿ ਨੀਦ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥
कहां सु सेज सुखाली कामणि जिसु वेखि नीद न पाई ॥
कहाँ है सुन्दरी की वह सुखदायक सेज, जिसे देखकर रात को नींद नहीं आती थी ?
Where is that pleasing woman and her cozy bed whose beauty would not allow one to sleep?
Di manakah wanita yang menyenangkan dan tempat tidurnya yang selesa yang kecantikannya tidak akan membiarkan seseorang tidur?
ਕਹਾ ਸੁ ਪਾਨ ਤੰਬੋਲੀ ਹਰਮਾ ਹੋਈਆ ਛਾਈ ਮਾਈ ॥੨॥
कहा सु पान त्मबोली हरमा होईआ छाई माई ॥२॥
कहाँ है पान और पान बेचने वाली स्त्रियाँ और कहाँ हैं पर्दे में रहने वाली नारियाँ ? सब कहीं लुप्त हो गई हैं। २॥
Where are those betel leaves and their sellers? Where are those ladies living in harems? They all have vanished like a shadow. ||2||
Di manakah daun sirih dan penjualnya? Di mana wanita-wanita itu tinggal di harem? Mereka semua telah lenyap seperti bayangan. || 2 ||
ਇਸੁ ਜਰ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਘਣੀ ਵਿਗੁਤੀ ਇਨਿ ਜਰ ਘਣੀ ਖੁਆਈ ॥
इसु जर कारणि घणी विगुती इनि जर घणी खुआई ॥
इस धन के कारण बहुत तबाह हो गए हैं। इस धन ने अधिकतर को बर्बाद किया है।
For the sake of this worldly wealth, so many are ruined and this wealth has disgraced much of the world.
Demi kekayaan duniawi ini, banyak yang hancur dan kekayaan ini telah memalukan sebahagian besar dunia.
ਪਾਪਾ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਮੁਇਆ ਸਾਥਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
पापा बाझहु होवै नाही मुइआ साथि न जाई ॥
पापों के बिना यह धन एकत्रित नहीं होता और मृतकों के साथ यह नहीं जाता।
This wealth cannot be amassed without committing sins and it does not go along with the dead.
Kekayaan ini tidak dapat dikumpulkan tanpa melakukan dosa dan tidak bersama dengan orang mati.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਖੁਆਏ ਕਰਤਾ ਖੁਸਿ ਲਏ ਚੰਗਿਆਈ ॥੩॥
जिस नो आपि खुआए करता खुसि लए चंगिआई ॥३॥
जिसे कर्ता प्रभु स्वयं नष्ट करता है पहले वह उससे अच्छाई छीन लेता है॥ ३॥
Whom God Himself wants to go astray, He first deprives that person of his virtues. ||3||
Siapa Tuhan sendiri ingin tersasar, Dia terlebih dahulu menghilangkan orang itu dari kebaikannya. || 3 ||
ਕੋਟੀ ਹੂ ਪੀਰ ਵਰਜਿ ਰਹਾਏ ਜਾ ਮੀਰੁ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਧਾਇਆ ॥
कोटी हू पीर वरजि रहाए जा मीरु सुणिआ धाइआ ॥
जब पठान हाकिमों ने सुना कि मीर बाबर हमला करने आ रहा है तो उन्होंने बहुत सारे पीर-पैगम्बरों को जादू-टोने के लिए रोके रखा।
When Pathan rulers heard about the emperor Babar’s invasion, many muslim saints were forbidden to go anywhere to ward off the invader with prayers.
Ketika penguasa Pathan mendengar tentang pencerobohan kaisar Babar, banyak orang suci muslim dilarang pergi ke mana saja untuk menangkis penyerang dengan berdoa.
