ਕਰਿ ਮਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਰੇ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਨਾਸੁ ਮਨਾ ॥
करि मजनु हरि सरे सभि किलबिख नासु मना ॥
हे मेरे मन ! भगवान के पावन सरोवर में स्नान करो, क्योंकि वहाँ पर तेरे सभी दु:ख संताप नाश हो जाएँगे।
O’ my mind, immerse in the holy congregation and sing God’s praises, as if you are bathing in the pool of God’s Name, and all your sins would be eradicated.
Wahai fikiranku, tenggelam dalam sidang kudus dan nyanyikan pujian Tuhan, seolah-olah kau mandi di kolam Nama Tuhan, dan semua dosa ku akan dihapuskan.
ਕਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਮਜਨੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਜਨੁ ਦੁਖ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਨਾਸੇ ॥
करि सदा मजनु गोबिंद सजनु दुख अंधेरा नासे ॥
उस गोविन्द-साजन के नाम-सरोवर में सदा स्नान करो, जिससे दु:ख के अँधेरे का नाश हो जाता है।
Yes, keep singing praises of God in the holy congregation; one who does this, God, the friend, eradicates his sorrows and the darkness of ignorance.
Ya, teruskan memuji Tuhan di sidang kudus; seseorang yang melakukan ini, Tuhan, sahabat, menghilangkan kesedihan dan kegelapan kejahilannya.
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣੁ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਕਟੈ ਜਮ ਕੇ ਫਾਸੇ ॥
जनम मरणु न होइ तिस कउ कटै जम के फासे ॥
जीव की जन्म-मरण के चक्र से मुक्ति हो जाती है, क्योंकि प्रभु उसकी यम (मृत्यु) की फाँसी काट देता है।
He does not go through the cycle of birth and death; God cuts off his worldly bonds, which are like nooses of the demon, the causes of spiritual death.
Dia tidak melalui kitaran kelahiran dan kematian; Tuhan memutuskan ikatan dunianya, yang seperti syaitan, penyebab kematian rohani.
ਮਿਲੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੇ ਨਾਮ ਰੰਗੇ ਤਹਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸੋ ॥
मिलु साधसंगे नाम रंगे तहा पूरन आसो ॥
संतों की सभा में शामिल होकर नाम-रंग में लीन रहो, यहाँ हर आशा पूर्ण हो जाएगी।
O’ my mind, join the holy congregation and be imbued with Naam; there all your wishes would be fulfilled.
Wahai fikiranku, sertai jemaat suci dan dijiwai Naam; di sana semua keinginanmu akan dipenuhi.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਧਾਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਨਿਵਾਸੋ ॥੧॥
बिनवंति नानक धारि किरपा हरि चरण कमल निवासो ॥१॥
नानक प्रार्थना करता है कि हे हरि ! कृपा धारण करके मुझे अपने सुन्दर चरण-कमल में निवास दीजिये ॥ १ ॥
Nanak humbly submits: O’ God, show mercy and bless me, that my mind may always remain attuned to Your immaculate Name. ||1||
Nanak dengan rendah hati mengemukakan: Wahai Tuhan, kasihanilah dan berkatilah aku, agar akalku selalu selaras dengan Nama-Mu yang tak bernoda. || 1 ||
ਤਹ ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਸਦਾ ਅਨਹਦ ਝੁਣਕਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ ॥
तह अनद बिनोद सदा अनहद झुणकारो राम ॥
वँहा पर सदा आनंद तथा हर्षोल्लास है और अनहद शब्द गूंजता रहता है।
The continuous divine melody producing joy and bliss always resounds in the holy congregation.
Melodi ketuhanan yang berterusan menghasilkan kegembiraan dan kebahagiaan selalu bergema di sidang kudus.
ਮਿਲਿ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਜੈਕਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ ॥
मिलि गावहि संत जना प्रभ का जैकारो राम ॥
संतजन मिलकर प्रभु का यशोगान करते हैं तथा उसकी जय-जयकार करते रहते हैं।
Joining together, the saintly persons keep singing glories of God.
Melodi ketuhanan yang berterusan menghasilkan kegembiraan dan kebahagiaan selalu bergema di sidang kudus.
ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਤ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਖਸਮ ਭਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸ ਰੰਗਿ ਭਿੰਨੀਆ ॥
मिलि संत गावहि खसम भावहि हरि प्रेम रस रंगि भिंनीआ ॥
संतजन अपने मालिक को लुभाते हैं, वे अपने स्वामी की गुणस्तुति करते हैं तथा उसके प्रेम-रस के रंग में भीगे रहते है।
Meeting together, the saints sing praises of the Master-God, they are pleasing to God; their conscience remains drenched with the sublime essence of His love.
Berkumpul bersama, orang-orang kudus memuji Tuhan-Tuhan, mereka berkenan kepada Tuhan; hati nurani mereka tetap basah dengan intipati cinta-Nya yang luhur.
ਹਰਿ ਲਾਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਆਪੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਮਿਲੇ ਚਿਰੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨਿਆ ॥
हरि लाभु पाइआ आपु मिटाइआ मिले चिरी विछुंनिआ ॥
वे अपने स्वामी की गुणस्तुति करते है तथा उसके प्रेम रस के रंग से जुदा हुए उससे मिल जाते हैं।
By eradicating their self-conceit, they receive the reward of meditating on God’s Name and unite with Him from whom they were separated for so long.
Dengan membasmi kesombongan diri mereka, mereka mendapat ganjaran bermeditasi pada Nama Tuhan dan bersatu dengan-Nya dari mana mereka terpisah sejak sekian lama.
ਗਹਿ ਭੁਜਾ ਲੀਨੇ ਦਇਆ ਕੀਨੑੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਏਕ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੋ ॥
गहि भुजा लीने दइआ कीन्हे प्रभ एक अगम अपारो ॥
एक अगम्य एवं अपार प्रभु उन पर अपनी दया-दृष्टि करता है और उन्हें अपनी भुजा से पकड़ कर अपना बना लेता है।
The incomprehensible and infinite God bestows mercy, extends His support and makes them His own.
Tuhan yang tidak dapat difahami dan tidak terbatas mengurniakan belas kasih, menghulurkan sokongan-Nya dan menjadikan mereka milik-Nya.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਚੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਰੁਣ ਝੁਣਕਾਰੋ ॥੨॥
बिनवंति नानक सदा निरमल सचु सबदु रुण झुणकारो ॥२॥
नानक प्रार्थना करता है कि उनके मन में सदैव निर्मल सच्चा अनहद शब्द रुनझुन-झंकार करता रहता है ॥ २ ॥
Nanak submits, the life of those saints of God becomes immaculate forever and the melody of divine words of God’s praises keeps vibrating within them. ||2||
Nanak menyatakan, kehidupan orang-orang kudus Tuhan menjadi sempurna selama-lamanya dan melodi kata-kata ketuhanan pujian Tuhan terus bergetar di dalamnya. || 2 ||
ਸੁਣਿ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
सुणि वडभागीआ हरि अम्रित बाणी राम ॥
हे भाग्यशाली ! परमात्मा की अमृत वाणी सुनो।
O’ the fortunate one, always listen to the ambrosial words of God’s praises.
Wahai orang yang beruntung, selalu dengarkan kata-kata pujian yang memuji Tuhan.
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਕਰਮਿ ਲਿਖੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਮਾਣੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
जिन कउ करमि लिखी तिसु रिदै समाणी राम ॥
जिनकी किस्मत में यह अमृत वाणी लिखी होती है, उनके हृदय में यह प्रविष्ट हो जाती है।
It is enshrined only in the hearts of those fortunate persons, in whose destiny it is so pre-ordained by His grace.
Itu diabadikan hanya di hati orang-orang yang bernasib baik, di mana takdirnya ditentukan oleh belas kasih-Nya.
ਅਕਥ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਤਿਨੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥
अकथ कहाणी तिनी जाणी जिसु आपि प्रभु किरपा करे ॥
जिस पर प्रभु आप कृपा करता है, उसे ही उसकी अकथनीय कथा का ज्ञान होता है।
Only those persons realize and embrace this indescribable divine words of God’s praises on whom He Himself bestows mercy.
Hanya orang-orang yang menyedari dan merangkul kata-kata ketuhanan yang tak terlukiskan tentang pujian Tuhan yang kepadanya Dia sendiri mengurniakan belas kasihan.
ਅਮਰੁ ਥੀਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਨ ਮੂਆ ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸਾ ਦੁਖ ਹਰੇ ॥
अमरु थीआ फिरि न मूआ कलि कलेसा दुख हरे ॥
ऐसा जीव अमर हो जाता है और फिर मृत्यु को प्राप्त नहीं होता, उसके सभी दुख-क्लेश तथा संताप विनष्ट हो जाते हैं।
He becomes immortal, doesn’t die a spiritual death again and eradicates all his inner strife and sorrows.
Dia menjadi abadi, tidak mati mati rohani lagi dan membasmi semua perselisihan dan penderitaan batinnya.
ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਾਈ ਤਜਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਭਾਣੀ ॥
हरि सरणि पाई तजि न जाई प्रभ प्रीति मनि तनि भाणी ॥
वह भगवान की शरण प्राप्त कर लेता है जो उसे त्याग कर कहीं नहीं जाता और प्रभु की प्रीति उसके मन-तन को लुभाती है।
Having received the refuge of God, such a person never forsakes it, and the love of God becomes dear to that person’s mind and heart.
Setelah mendapat perlindungan Tuhan, orang seperti itu tidak pernah meninggalkannya, dan cinta kepada Tuhan menjadi sayang bagi akal dan hati orang itu.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦਾ ਗਾਈਐ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ॥੩॥
बिनवंति नानक सदा गाईऐ पवित्र अम्रित बाणी ॥३॥
नानक प्रार्थना करता है कि हे जीव ! हमें सदैव ही पवित्र अमृत-बाणी का गुणानुवाद करते रहना चाहिए॥ ३ ॥
Nanak submits, we should always sing the sacred ambrosial divine words of God’s praises.||3||
Nanak berkata, kita harus selalu menyanyikan kata-kata suci ambrosia suci pujian Tuhan. || 3 ||
ਮਨ ਤਨ ਗਲਤੁ ਭਏ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
मन तन गलतु भए किछु कहणु न जाई राम ॥
परमात्मा की अमृत-वाणी में मन तथा तन इतना लीन हो जाता है कि कुछ कथन नहीं किया जा सकता।
The mind and heart become so elated in the love of God that nothing can be said about it.
Fikiran dan hati menjadi sangat gembira dalam kasih Tuhan sehingga tidak ada yang dapat dikatakan mengenainya.
ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਉਪਜਿਅੜਾ ਤਿਨਿ ਲੀਆ ਸਮਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
जिस ते उपजिअड़ा तिनि लीआ समाई राम ॥
जिस (परमेश्वर) ने प्राणी को पैदा किया था, वह उसी में लीन हो जाता है।
From whom he was created, that God has absorbed him in Himself.
Dari siapa dia diciptakan, bahawa Tuhan telah menyerapnya dalam diriNya.
ਮਿਲਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜੋਤੀ ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤੀ ਉਦਕੁ ਉਦਕਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥
मिलि ब्रहम जोती ओति पोती उदकु उदकि समाइआ ॥
वह ब्रह्म ज्योति में ताने-पेटे की भांति ऐसे विलीन हो जाता है जैसे जल, जल में ही मिल जाता है।
Through and through, he merges into the Divine Light, like water merges into water.
Sepanjang waktu, dia bergabung menjadi Cahaya Ketuhanan, seperti air bergabung menjadi air.
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਏਕੁ ਰਵਿਆ ਨਹ ਦੂਜਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਾਇਆ ॥
जलि थलि महीअलि एकु रविआ नह दूजा द्रिसटाइआ ॥
एक परमात्मा ही जल, धरती एवं गगन में मौजूद है, दूसरा कोई दृष्टिगोचर नहीं होता।
Then he beholds one God pervading the water, the land, and the sky and none other than God is visible to him.
Kemudian dia melihat satu Tuhan yang melintasi air, tanah, dan langit dan tidak ada yang lain selain Tuhan yang dapat dilihat olehnya.
ਬਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
बणि त्रिणि त्रिभवणि पूरि पूरन कीमति कहणु न जाई ॥
वह वन, तृण एवं तीनों लोकों में परिपूर्ण व्यापक है तथा उसका मूल्यांकन नहीं किया जा सकता।
To him, God seems to be pervading the forests and every blade of grass and the three worlds; the worth of such a person’s spiritual status cannot be described.
Baginya, Tuhan nampaknya meresapi hutan dan setiap bilah rumput dan ketiga dunia; nilai status kerohanian seseorang itu tidak dapat digambarkan.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਏਹ ਬਣਤ ਬਣਾਈ ॥੪॥੨॥੫॥
बिनवंति नानक आपि जाणै जिनि एह बणत बणाई ॥४॥२॥५॥
नानक प्रार्थना करता है कि जिस परमात्मा ने यह सृष्टि-रचना की है वह स्वयं ही इस संबंध में सब कुछ जानता है। ॥४॥२॥५॥
Nanak submits, He who created this creation, understands it. ||4||2||5||

खोजत संत फिरहि प्रभ प्राण अधारे राम ॥
संतजन उस भगवान को खोजते रहते हैं, जो हम सभी के प्राणों का मूल आधार है।
The saints of God go around searching for God, the support of their life.
Orang-orang kudus Tuhan berkeliling mencari Tuhan, sokongan hidup mereka.
ਤਾਣੁ ਤਨੁ ਖੀਨ ਭਇਆ ਬਿਨੁ ਮਿਲਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
ताणु तनु खीन भइआ बिनु मिलत पिआरे राम ॥
अपने प्रियतम प्रभु के मिलन बिना उनकी शारीरिक शक्ति क्षीण हो जाती है।
Without realizing the beloved God, they lose strength and their body becomes very frail.
Tanpa menyedari Tuhan yang dikasihi, mereka kehilangan kekuatan dan tubuh mereka menjadi sangat lemah.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਇਆ ਧਾਰੇ ਕਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ਲੀਜੀਐ ॥
प्रभ मिलहु पिआरे मइआ धारे करि दइआ लड़ि लाइ लीजीऐ ॥
हे प्रियतम प्रभु! कृपा करके मुझे आकर मिलो तथा दया करके अपने दामन के साथ मुझे मिला लीजिए।
O’ my dear God, bestow mercy and let me realize You; be kind and keep me in Your refuge.
Wahai Tuhanku yang terkasih, kurniakanlah belas kasih dan biarkan aku menyedariMu; bersikap baik dan jaga aku di tempat perlindunganMu.
ਦੇਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਜਪਉ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸ ਪੇਖੇ ਜੀਜੀਐ ॥
देहि नामु अपना जपउ सुआमी हरि दरस पेखे जीजीऐ ॥
हे मेरे स्वामी ! कृपा-दृष्टि करके मुझे अपना नाम प्रदान कीजिये जिससे मैं तेरी आराधना करता रहूँ और तेरे दर्शन करके ही मैं जीवित रह सकता हूँ।
O’ my Master-God, bless me with Your Name, which I may keep meditating on; I spiritually remain alive by beholding Your blessed vision.
Wahai Tuanku-Tuhan, berkatilah Aku dengan Nama-Mu, yang mungkin terus aku meditasi;Aku secara rohani tetap hidup dengan melihat penglihatan-Mu yang diberkati.
ਸਮਰਥ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਊਚ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥
समरथ पूरन सदा निहचल ऊच अगम अपारे ॥
हे दुनिया के मालिक ! तू सर्वशक्तिमान, सर्वव्यापक, सदा अटल सर्वोपरि अगम्य तथा अपार है।
O’ God, You are all-powerful, all pervading, eternal, highest of the high, incomprehensible and infinite.
Ya Tuhan, Engkau yang berkuasa, semuanya meresap, kekal, tertinggi dari tinggi, tidak dapat difahami dan tidak terbatas.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਧਾਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੧॥
बिनवंति नानक धारि किरपा मिलहु प्रान पिआरे ॥१॥
नानक प्रार्थना करता है की है प्राण प्रिय परमेश्वर ! कृपा करके मुझे आकर मिलो ॥ १ ॥
Nanak prays, O’ the love of my life, bestow mercy and let me realize You. ||1||
Nanak berdoa, Wahai cinta dalam hidupku, kurniakan belas kasih dan biarkan aku menyedariMu. || 1 ||
ਜਪ ਤਪ ਬਰਤ ਕੀਨੇ ਪੇਖਨ ਕਉ ਚਰਣਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
जप तप बरत कीने पेखन कउ चरणा राम ॥
हे राम ! तेरे चरणों के दर्शनों हेतु मैंने अनेक ही जप, तपस्या एवं व्रत इत्यादि किए हैं
To behold the blessed vision of God, I have practiced chanting, intensive meditation and fasting,
Untuk melihat penglihatan Tuhan yang diberkati, aku telah berlatih nyanyian, meditasi intensif dan puasa,
ਤਪਤਿ ਨ ਕਤਹਿ ਬੁਝੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਰਣਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
तपति न कतहि बुझै बिनु सुआमी सरणा राम ॥
परन्तु तेरी शरण के बिना मन की तृष्णा कदाचित नहीं बुझती।
but without the refuge of the Master-God, the suffering of the mind never ends.
tetapi tanpa perlindungan Tuhan-Tuhan, penderitaan fikiran tidak akan pernah berakhir.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਕਾਟਿ ਬੇਰੀ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਾਰੀਐ ॥
प्रभ सरणि तेरी काटि बेरी संसारु सागरु तारीऐ ॥
हे प्रभु! मैं तेरी शरण में आया हूँ, मेरी विकारों की बेड़ियाँ काट दीजिए और इस संसार-सागर से पार कर दें।
O’ God, I have come to Your refuge, cut off my bonds of the love of Maya and ferry me across the world-ocean of vices.
Ya Tuhan, aku telah datang ke tempat perlindungan-Mu, memutuskan ikatan cinta Maya dan membawa aku ke seberang lautan kejahatan dunia.
ਅਨਾਥ ਨਿਰਗੁਨਿ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਣੁ ਅਉਗਣੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰੀਐ ॥
अनाथ निरगुनि कछु न जाना मेरा गुणु अउगणु न बीचारीऐ ॥
मैं अनाथ तथा निर्गुण हूँ, मैं कुछ भी नहीं जानता, इसलिए तुम मेरे गुण-अवगुण पर विचार मत करना।
O’ God, I am helpless, without any virtues and I know nothing; please do not take into account any of my virtues and faults.
Ya Tuhan, aku tidak berdaya, tanpa kebaikan dan aku tidak tahu apa-apa; tolong jangan ambil kira kebaikan dan kesalahan ku.
ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਮਰਥ ਕਾਰਣ ਕਰਣਾ ॥
दीन दइआल गोपाल प्रीतम समरथ कारण करणा ॥
प्रियतम गोपाल बड़ा दीनदयालु सर्वशक्तिमान तथा करने कराने वाला है,
O’ beloved, merciful to the meek, master of the universe; You are all-powerful doer and cause of everything.
Wahai kekasih, belas kasihan kepada penguasa alam semesta yang lemah lembut; Engkau adalah pelaku yang berkuasa dan menjadi penyebab segala-galanya.
ਨਾਨਕ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਹਰਿ ਬੂੰਦ ਮਾਗੈ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣਾ ॥੨॥
नानक चात्रिक हरि बूंद मागै जपि जीवा हरि हरि चरणा ॥२॥
नानक रूपी चातक हरि रूपी नाम बून्द माँगता है तथा हरी के चरणों का जाप करते हुए जीवित रहता है।॥२॥
O’ Nanak, just as a pied cuckoo begs for a drop of rain, I ask for God’s Name, meditating on which I keep alive spiritually. ||2||
Wahai Nanak, sama seperti cuckoo pied memohon setitis hujan, aku meminta Nama Tuhan, meditasi di mana aku terus hidup secara rohani. || 2 ||
