ਸਭੁਕਿਛੁਜਾਣੈਜਾਣੁਬੁਝਿਵੀਚਾਰਦਾ॥ sabh kichh jaanai jaan bujh veechaardaa. God, the all Knower, knows everything about all beings; He understands and contemplates on everything. ਉਹਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ (ਜੀਵਾਂਦੇਦਿਲਦੀ) ਹਰੇਕਗੱਲਜਾਣਦਾਹੈਤੇਉਸਨੂੰਸਮਝਕੇ (ਉਸਤੇ) ਵਿਚਾਰਭੀਕਰਦਾਹੈ, سبھُکِچھُجانھےَجانھُبُجھِۄیِچاردا॥ بجھ وچارو۔ سوچ سمجھ کر خیال کرتا ہے وہی مخلوق پیدا کرنے والا ہے اور وہی مارنے وال اہے وہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے اسے سمجھ کر
ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ਸਗਲੇ ਦੂਖ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੨॥ jis simrat sukh ho-ay saglay dookh jaahi. ||2|| remembering whom celestial peace wells up and all sufferings go away. ||2|| ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆਂ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥ جِسُ سِمرت سُکھُ ہوءِ سگلے دوُکھ جاہِ ॥੨॥ سمرت۔ یا د سے سگلے
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਅਪਣਾਸੇਵਿਸਭਫਲਪਾਇਆ॥ satgur apnaa sayv sabh fal paa-i-aa. and follow our Guru’s teachings, all desires are fulfilled, ਤੇਸਤਿਗੁਰੂਦੇਹੁਕਮਵਿਚਤੁਰੀਏਤਾਂ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਸਾਰੇਫਲਮਿਲਜਾਂਦੇਹਨ, ستِگُرُاپنھاسیۄِسبھپھلپائِیا॥ ستگر۔ سچا مرشد۔ خدمت مرشد سے ہر طرح برآور ہوا نام الہٰی ہے ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਹਰਿਕਾਨਾਉਸਦਾਧਿਆਇਆ॥ amrit har kaa naa-o sadaa Dhi-aa-i-aa. and we can always remember God’s ambrosial Name. ਤੇਪ੍ਰਭੂਦਾਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ-ਨਾਮਸਦਾਸਿਮਰਸਕੀਦਾਹੈ l انّم٘رِتہرِکاناءُسدادھِیائِیا॥ انمرت۔ آبحیات۔ روحانی زندگی

ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਤਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਖੀਐ ਜਿ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ vaahu vaahu tis no aakhee-ai je sabh meh rahi-aa samaa-ay. We should sing the praises of that God who is pervading in all. ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਭ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ۄاہُۄاہُتِسنوآکھیِئےَجِسبھمہِرہِیاسماءِ اس کی صفت صلاح کرؤ جو سب میں
ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਨਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥ naanak man hee tay man maani-aa naa kichh marai na jaa-ay. ||2|| O’ Nanak, it is through the mind itself that our mind is persuaded about the truth that there is nothing which dies nor gets born (it is just changing of bodies
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਉਬਰੇ ਜਿ ਆਪਿ ਮੇਲੇ ਕਰਤਾਰਿ ॥੨॥ naanak gurmukh ubray je aap maylay kartaar. ||2|| O’ Nanak, only those followers of the Guru are saved from worldly attachments whom the Creator unites with Himself. ||2|| ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਇਸ ਲਾਲਚ-ਰੂਪ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਚ ਕੇ
ਹਰਿ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਜਾਇ ਗੁਮਾਨੁ ॥ har sukh-daata man vasai ha-umai jaa-ay gumaan. God, the Giver of peace, shall dwell in your mind, and your egotism and pride shall depart. ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸੇਗਾ, ਹਉਮੈ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ। ہرِسُکھداتامنِۄسےَہئُمےَجاءِگُمان ہونمے جائے ۔ گمان ۔ خودی مٹتی ۔ تکبر
ਕਾਇਆ ਮਿਟੀ ਅੰਧੁ ਹੈ ਪਉਣੈ ਪੁਛਹੁ ਜਾਇ ॥ kaa-i-aa mitee anDh hai pa-unai puchhahu jaa-ay. The body is merely dirt, it is blind (ignorant). At the end, the soul is held responsible for it’s deeds. ਸਰੀਰ ਤਾਂ ਗ੍ਯਾਨਹੀਣ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਹੈ, ਆਖ਼ਰ ਲੇਖਾ ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। کائِیامِٹیِانّدھُہےَپئُنھےَپُچھہُجاءِ اندھ ۔ بے سمجھ ۔ پونے
ਇਹੁ ਜੀਉ ਸਦਾ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਹੈ ਸਹਜੇ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੨॥ ih jee-o sadaa mukat hai sehjay rahi-aa samaa-ay. ||2|| Then, this soul is liberated forever (from ego or worldly attachments), and it remains absorbed in celestial bliss. ||2|| ਫਿਰ ਇਹ ਆਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ (ਮਾਇਆ-ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ) ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਅਡੋਲ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥ اِہُجیِءُسدامُکتُہےَسہجےرہِیاسماءِ
