ਨਾਮੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਅਗਨਿ ਬੁਝੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਸੈ ਰਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ naamay tarisnaa agan bujhai naam milai tisai rajaa-ee. ||1|| rahaa-o. SGGS Page 423 ਤਾ ਕੇ ਰੂਪ ਨ ਜਾਹੀ ਲਖਣੇ ਕਿਆ ਕਰਿ ਆਖਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ॥੨॥ taa kay roop na jaahee lakh-nay ki-aa kar aakh veechaaree. ||2|| His forms cannot be comprehended; what can I say to describe and reflect on those? ||2|| ਉਸਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ; ਮੈਂ ਕੀਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ
ਜਉ ਲਗੁ ਜੀਉ ਪਰਾਣ ਸਚੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥ ja-o lag jee-o paraan sach Dhi-aa-ee-ai. As long as there is the breath of life, one should meditate on the eternal God. ਜਦੋਂ ਤਕ (ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ) ਜਿੰਦ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸੁਆਸ ਹਨ (ਤਦ ਤਕ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। جءُلگُجیِءُپرانھسچُدھِیائیِئےَ॥ جؤ لگ۔ جب تک ۔
ਜੇਹੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਰਾਈਐ ਕਰਣੀ ਭੀ ਸਾਈ ॥ jayhee sayv karaa-ee-ai karnee bhee saa-ee. Whatever service God causes a person to do, that is just what he does. ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਕਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ, ਜੀਵ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਕਾਰੇ ਲੱਗਣਾ ਹੈ। جیہیِسیۄکرائیِئےَکرنھیِبھیِسائیِ॥ کرنی۔ اعمال ۔ سائی ۔ وہی ۔ خدا جو بھی خدمت انسان
ਹੁਕਮੀ ਪੈਧਾ ਜਾਇ ਦਰਗਹ ਭਾਣੀਐ ॥ hukmee paiDhaa jaa-ay dargeh bhaanee-ai.
