ਓਇ ਅਗੈ ਕੁਸਟੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਫਿਟਕੇ ਜਿ ਓਸੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਕੁਸਟੁ ਉਠਾਹੀ ॥ o-ay agai kustee gur kay fitkay je os milai tis kusat uthaahee. Being cursed by the Guru, they are cut off from the society like lepers andwhoever associates with them also becomes like them. ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੀ
ਮਃ ੪ ॥ mehlaa 4. Salok, Fourth Guru: م:4 ॥ صلوک ، چوتھا گرو : ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਆਪਿ ਦੇਇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਜਗਤੁ ਭੀ ਆਪੇ ਆਣਿ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਪੈਰੀ ਪਾਏ ॥ jin ka-o aap day-ay vadi-aa-ee jagat bhee aapay aan tin ka-o pairee paa-ay. Whom God blesses with glory, He makes the world also bow to them
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਧਿਆਇਦਾ ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ antar har guroo Dhi-aa-idaa vadee vadi-aa-ee. Great is the glory of the Guru, who within his mind meditates on God. ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ) ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ; انّترِہرِگُرۄُدھِیائِداوڈیوڈِیائی ॥ گرو کی شان عظیم ہے ، جو اپنے ذہن میں خدا کا ذکر
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ॥ jis no da-i-aal hovai mayraa su-aamee tis gursikh guroo updays sunaavai. The Guru bestows such teachings only on that Gursikh (disciple) on whom God becomes gracious. ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਿਆਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ l جِسنۄدئِیالُہۄوےَمیراسُیامیتِسُگُرسِکھگُرۄُاُپدیسُسُݨاوےَ ॥
ਸਚਿਆਰ ਸਿਖ ਬਹਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਸਿ ਘਾਲਨਿ ਕੂੜਿਆਰ ਨ ਲਭਨੀ ਕਿਤੈ ਥਾਇ ਭਾਲੇ ॥ sachiar sikh bahi satgur paas ghaalan koorhiar na labhe kitai thaa-ay bhaalay. The true disciples stay in the true Guru’s presence and follow his teachings, but even when searched for, the false ones are not found anywhere. ਸੱਚ ਦੇ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਤਾਂ
ਜੋ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੋਪੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੁ ਭਲਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਪੰਚਹੁ ਓਨਿ ਲਾਹਾ ਮੂਲੁ ਸਭੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥ jo gur gopay apnaa so bhala naahee panchahu on laahaa mool sabh gavaa-i-aa. O’ saints, the one who slanders his Guru is not a good person. He loses the wealth of Naam that he was supposed to earn in this precious
ਜਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਰਾਫੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਖੈ ਸੁਆਵਗੀਰ ਸਭਿ ਉਘੜਿ ਆਏ ॥ jaa satgur saraaf nadar kar daykhai su-aavgeer sabh ugharh aa-ay. Just as a jeweler picks-out the impurities in the gold, similarly when the True Guru looks at the mortals carefully, all the selfish ones are exposed. ਜਦੋਂ ਸਰਾਫ਼ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਗਹੁ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ
ਸਭਿ ਜੀਅ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੂ ਸਭਸ ਦਾ ਤੂ ਸਭ ਛਡਾਹੀ ॥੪॥ sabh jee-a tayray too sabhas daa too sabh chhadaahee. ||4|| All beings are Yours; You belong to all. You deliver all from the vices.||4|| ਸਭ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ (ਰਚੇ ਹੋਏ) ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ (ਮਾਲਕ) ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ (ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੇ ਝੋਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ) ਆਪ ਛਡਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ
ਸਭਿ ਕਾਰਜ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਸਿਧਿ ਹਹਿ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥ sabh kaaraj tin kay siDh heh jin gurmukh kirpaa Dhaar. Those Guru’s followers upon whom God has bestowed His grace, all their affairs are successfully accomplished. (ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਹੈ), ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਲਾਗਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ॥ man tan seetal saaNt sahj laagaa parabh kee sayv. He engaged himself in the devotional worship of God and intuitively he became tranquil and peaceful. ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗਾ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਤਨੁ ਠੰਢਾ-ਠਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ
