ਹਰਿ ਪੜੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਬੁਝੀਐ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਨਾਮਿ ਉਧਾਰਾ ॥ har parhee-ai har bujhee-ai gurmatee naam uDhaaraa. ਅਟਲ ਅਖਇਓ ਦੇਵਾ ਮੋਹਨ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥ atal akhi-o dayvaa mohan alakh apaaraa. You are eternal and unchanging, imperishable, invisible and infinite, O divine fascinating Lord. ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਝੂਠੇ ਸਭਿ ਬੋਲਾ ॥ ham tum sang jhoothay sabh bolaa. False is all his talk of me and you. and all the talks about “me”, and “you” (to be together) are false utterances. False is being together forever is false. ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ (ਸਾਥ ਨਿਬਾਹੁਣ ਵਾਲੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਬੋਲ ਝੂਠ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ
ਬਾਝੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਬਾਰਾ ॥ baajh guroo gubaaraa. Without the Guru, there is only pitch darkness.
