ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮੰਗੈ ਦਾਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰੇਨ ਪਗ ਸਾਧਾ ॥੪॥੩॥੨੭॥ naanak mangai daan parabh rayn pag saaDhaa. ||4||3||27|| O’ God, Nanak begs for the humble service of Your saints. ||4||3||27|| ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਨਾਨਕ (ਤੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩॥੨੭॥ نانکُ منّگےَ دانُ پ٘ربھرینپگسادھا دان۔ بھیک۔ رین پگ سادھا۔سادہوں پاکدامن کی خاک
ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਃ ੫ ॥ Dhanaasree mehlaa 5. Raag Dhanasri, Fifth Guru: دھناسریِ مਃ੫॥ ਸੋ ਕਤ ਡਰੈ ਜਿ ਖਸਮੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੈ ॥ so kat darai je khasam samHaarai. Why that person should he be afraid of anything who always remembers God? ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ,ਉਹ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਡਰਦਾ। سو کت
ਤਾਣੁ ਮਾਣੁ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਟੇਕ ॥੪॥੨॥੨੦॥ taan maan deebaan saachaa naanak kee parabh tayk. ||4||2||20|| O’ Nanak, God’s refuge is their only strength, respect, and everlasting support. ||4||2||20|| ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਲ ਹੈ, ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥੨੦॥ تانھُ مانھُ دیِبانھُ ساچا
ਅਉਖਧ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਮੂਲ ਮਨ ਏਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਬਿਸ੍ਵਾਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥ a-ukhaDh mantar mool man aykai man bisvaas parabh Dhaari-aa. The primal mantra of God’s Name is the only cure for the mind; one who has reposed faith in God in his mind, ਮਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ
ਨਿਮਖ ਨਿਮਖ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਹੁ ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਧਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ nimakh nimakh tum hee partipaalahu ham baarik tumray Dhaaray. ||1|| It is You who sustain us at every moment and we, the children, survive on Your support. ||1|| ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਇਕ ਇਕ ਛਿਨ ਸਾਡੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਸੀਂ ਬੱਚੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਜੀਊਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ

O’ brother, You are doing such deeds which would bring You shame in God’s presence. ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹੀਂ ਕੰਮੀਂ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ
ਅਲੰਕਾਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਥੈਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਨਿਕ ਵਖਾਨੀ ॥੩॥ alankaar mil thailee ho-ee hai taa tay kanik vakhaanee. ||3|| just as gold ornaments when melted down become a single lump, which is still described as gold, similarly I feel myself and others as part of the same one primal source, God. ||3|| ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ
ਕਾਮ ਹੇਤਿ ਕੁੰਚਰੁ ਲੈ ਫਾਂਕਿਓ ਓਹੁ ਪਰ ਵਸਿ ਭਇਓ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥ kaam hayt kunchar lai faaNki-o oh par vas bha-i-o bichaaraa. Lured by lust, the elephant is trapped and the poor animal falls under the control of others. ਕਾਮ-ਵਾਸਨਾ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਹਾਥੀ ਫਸ ਗਿਆ, ਉਹ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ਪਰ-ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। کام ہیتِ کُنّچرُ لےَ پھاںکِئو اوہُ
ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥ jap man sat naam sadaa sat naam. O’ my mind, always meditate on the Name of eternal God. ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ। جپِ من ستِ نامُ سدا ستِ نامُ اے دل صدیوی سچے الہٰی نام سچ وحقیقت کی یاو و ریاض کر
