ਤੂ ਦਾਤਾ ਹਮ ਸੇਵਕ ਤੇਰੇ ॥ too daataa ham sayvak tayray. O’ God! You are the benefactor and we are Your devotees, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਸੀਂ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ, توُداتاہمسیۄکتیرے॥ ۔ تو رازق ہے اور ہم سارے تیرے خدمتگار ہیں ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਜੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਗਿਆਨ ਰਤਨੁ ਦੀਪਾਇਆ
ਸਾਮ ਵੇਦੁ ਰਿਗੁ ਜੁਜਰੁ ਅਥਰਬਣੁ ॥ saam vayd rig jujar atharban. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਮਾਨੈ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਸਮਾਇਦਾ ॥੯॥ gurmukh ho-ay so hukam pachhaanai maanai hukam samaa-idaa. ||9|| One who follows the Guru’s teachings, understands God’s will and by obeying His will, merges in God. ||9|| ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ
ਵਰਨ ਭੇਖ ਨਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਣ ਖਤ੍ਰੀ ॥ varan bhaykh nahee barahman khatree. ਅਨਹਦੁ ਵਾਜੈ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਭਾਜੈ ॥ anhad vaajai bharam bha-o bhaajai. When the non-stop melody of divine music rings in one’s mind, all his doubts and dreads flee away. ਜਦ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੂੰਜਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਤੇ ਡਰ-ਸਹਿਮ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। انہدُۄاجےَبھ٘رمُبھءُبھاجےَ॥ انا حد واجے
ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਬੋਲੈ ਆਪਣ ਭਾਣੈ ॥ sabh ko bolai aapan bhaanai. Everyone speaks as they please. ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਜਿਸ ਤਰਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਗੱਲਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। سبھُکوبولےَآپنھبھانھےَ॥ بھانے ۔ رضا۔ مرضی سارے اپنی مرضی کی مطابق بات کرتے ہیں ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਦੂਜੈ ਬੋਲਿ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ॥ manmukh doojai bol na jaanai. Being swayed by
