ਸਾਰਗਮਹਲਾ੫॥ saarag mehlaa 5. Saarang, Fifth Mehl: سارگمہلا੫॥ ਹਰਿਕੇਨਾਮਕੀਗਤਿਠਾਂਢੀ॥ har kay naam kee gatthaaNdhee. ਸਾਰਗਮਹਲਾ੫॥ saarag mehlaa 5. Saarang, Fifth Mehl: سارگمہلا੫॥ ਮੇਰੈਗੁਰਿਮੋਰੋਸਹਸਾਉਤਾਰਿਆ॥ mayrai gur moro sahsaa utaari-aa. My Guru has rid me of my cynicism. “(O’ my friends), my Guru has removed all my dread. ਮੇਰੇਗੁਰੂਨੇ (ਮੇਰੇਅੰਦਰੋਂਹਰਵੇਲੇਦਾ) ਸਹਿਮਦੂਰਕਰਦਿੱਤਾਹੈ। میرےَگُرِموروسہسااُتارِیا॥ مورو۔ میرا۔ سہسا۔ فکر۔ میرے مرشد نے میری فکر مندی دور کی ਤਿਸੁਗੁਰਕੈਜਾਈਐਬਲਿਹਾਰੀਸਦਾਸਦਾਹਉਵਾਰਿਆ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥ tis gur kai jaa-ee-ai balihaaree sadaa
ਜਿਨ ਸੰਤਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਤੂ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਤੇ ਆਏ ਪਰਵਾਨ ॥ jin santan jaani-aa too thaakur tay aa-ay parvaan. Those Saints who know You, O Lord and Master – blessed and approved is their coming into the world. “O’ Master, approved is the advent of those saints in the world, who have realized You. ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਾਲਕ!
ਤਿਨ ਸਿਉ ਰਾਚਿ ਮਾਚਿ ਹਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਓ ਜੋ ਕਾਮਿ ਨਹੀ ਗਾਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ tin si-o raach maach hit laa-i-o jo kaam nahee gaavaaree. ||1|| He is hand and glove with those who are of no use to him; the poor wretch is affectionately involved with them. ||1|| But O’ foolish one, you have involved and imbued yourself
ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ saarag mehlaa 5. Saarang, Fifth Mehl: سارگمہلا੫॥ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਹਿ ਆਧਾਰੋ ॥ amrit naam maneh aaDhaaro. The Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the Support of the mind. (O’ my friends), now the nectar Name of God has become the main stay of (my) mind. ਆਤਮਕ
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਤੇ ਮਗਨ ਭਏ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੨॥੨੫॥੪੮॥ kaho naanak mil santsangat tay magan bha-ay liv laa-ee. ||2||25||48|| Says Nanak, joining the Society of the Saints, I am enraptured, lovingly attuned to my Lord. ||2||25||48|| Nanak says that they who meet in saintly congregation, remain absorbed in Him by attuning their minds to
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੈ ਅਤੁਲ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਭੈ ਲਾਥੇ ॥੨॥੨੦॥੪੩॥ kaho naanak mai atul sukh paa-i-aa janam maranbhai laathay. ||2||20||43|| Says Nanak, I have found immeasurable peace; my fear of birth and death is gone. ||2||20||43|| Nanak says that I have obtained inestimable peace and my fears of birth and death have been removed.
