Looking at the expanse of the world (a Guru‟s follower) goes into ecstasy. (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਚੀ ਇਸ) ਜਗਤ-ਖੇਡ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ‘ਵਾਹ ਵਾਹ’ ਕਰ
ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਚੂਕੈ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥ nadar karay chookai abhimaan. When the Lord bestows His Glance of Grace, egotism is eradicated. (O‟ my friends), on whom God shows His grace, that person‟s selfconceit is destroyed ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ندرِکرےچوُکےَابھِمانُ॥ ندر۔ نظر عنایت
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਤਖਤਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਕੀਏ ॥ jin ka-o takhat milai vadi-aa-ee gurmukh say parDhaan kee-ay. Those who are blessed with the glory of the Lord’s Throne – those Gurmukhs are renowned as supreme. (O‟ my friends), the Guru followers who have been blessed with the glory of a seat on the
ਕਾਹੇ ਕਲਰਾ ਸਿੰਚਹੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਵਹੁ ॥ kaahay kalraa sinchahu janam gavaavahu. Why do you irrigate the barren, alkaline soil? You are wasting your life away! (O’ my friend, why are you wasting your time, by doing such useless things, which are like) watering a saline land and wasting your (human) birth in vain? (ਹੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ!
